My Present
Hello, my name is Caroline Burt, Northrop and Johnson’s designated Charter Marketing Assistant. Supporting our strong team of Charter Managers looks different each day. What I enjoy most about my role is taking the ‘idea’ of a yacht and watching a beautifully presented charter listing unfold. I believe that creativity starts with the willingness to take risks, this is the most challenging aspect of my job. The ever-changing nature of the yachting industry often keeps me on my toes. I am always waiting for how, when, and where to improve.
My Past
Having grown up in sunny south Florida, white sand and warm water are in my blood. My experience in the yachting industry began in early 2020, when I worked as a marketing intern at a boutique yacht brokerage in Palm Beach, FL. This internship gave me valuable firsthand experience working alongside both sales and charter brokers. What began as a marketing internship eventually blossomed into a Charter Management Assistant role. It was in this role that my passion for the industry flourished. Three years later, I found myself in search of new opportunities and a strong team of Charter Managers to work with. Having been presented with the opportunity to join the N&J team, I can think of nowhere else I’d rather be!
My Future
In the future, I intend to continuously expand my industry knowledge. Over the next few years, I see myself guiding our yacht owners through the intricate charter process. Eventually, I see myself working with clients to curate the vacation of a lifetime. I look forward to gaining the valuable skills necessary for running a successful charter program.

My Outside-office Life
Outside of the office, you can find me biking around the charming town of Lake Worth. I enjoy paddle boarding up and down the Intracoastal, spotting as many yachts as I can.
When it comes to travel, I enjoy spending summers in New England, especially Newport, RI. There is truly nothing like the busy Newport Harbor in the summertime.
Fast Facts
Interesting fact: I am an ambassador for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, raising awareness through public speaking, fundraising, and community-based events for a cure.
Surprising fact: My marketing career began in college when I worked for Chick-fil-A doing social media marketing. I struggled to think of “new” ways to market our menu items, luckily the chicken sells itself!
Not-so-surprising fact: I was president of my High School drama club, go Eagles!
