Northrop & Johnson is excited to welcome Sharryn Matte to its international team of yachting professionals. As a Crew Services Agent, Sharryn will be working out of Fort Lauderdale.

Hailing from the sunny shores of Australia, Sharryn Matte grew up surrounded by water and boats. Before landing in Fort Lauderdale to kick-start her career in yachting, she spent some time working across various positions in the tourism and hospitality industry. With a desire for travel and adventure, Sharryn took to the seas working as a Chief Stewardess on private and charter yachts up to 50 meters in length. For the past six years, she has been working land-based in the Crew Recruitment industry which has now brought her to N&J.

Sharryn boasts over 20 years of experience in the industry, making her an extremely valuable asset to N&J’s Crew Services Department. “With Sharryn’s extensive experience working closely with Captains and Crew on and off yachts she brings excellent knowledge of what both crew and clients are looking for,” says Marcy Williams, N&J’s Director of Crew Services. Sharryn is dedicated to the process of crew placement; from sourcing, vetting and eventually placing each crewmember, she is there to help guide, step by step. She puts forming long-lasting relationships with crew and clients at the forefront while continually going above and beyond their expectations.

Outside of the office, Sharryn spends time maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle, be it through indoor cycling or water sports.
