Northrop & Johnson is delighted to announce the addition of several sales and charter brokers to our Palma office. Located in the beautiful Balearic Islands on Palma de Mallorca, the Palma office caters to clients throughout the Mediterranean, Europe and beyond offering all brokerage and charter services. New members of the brokerage team include Yacht Broker Sean McCarter, Yacht Broker Talal Cassim, Yacht Broker Jakob Gradisek and Charter Broker Caroline Antlett.

Sean McCarter comes to N&J with more than 15 years of industry experience, including time spent skippering both sail and motor yachts. He also has a bachelor’s degree in applied marine science. Sean circumnavigated the world twice and during the Clipper Race in 2014 and made global news headlines for rescuing a crewmember who went overboard in a storm in the middle of the North Pacific. Sean is currently a race skipper and project manager for several international race campaigns.

Talal Cassim has a master’s degree in business administration with an elective specialization in the luxury industry. After graduating he launched his career in the Parisian luxury sector. Talal moved to Mallorca in 2016 to enter the superyacht industry, which was a natural development of his luxury-related consulting services. In 2019 Talal selected Northrop & Johnson as his long-term platform for developing his yacht practice and to create value for his client group.

Jakob Gradisek started his career in yachting at the age of 16, when he immigrated from his home in Slovenia to the British Virgin Islands in the West Indies. He completed several long-distance crossings and passages while working as a deckhand, and eventually a delivery-captain in the Caribbean, along US East Coast, and in the Mediterranean. Jakob transitioned into the brokerage sector of the yachting industry in 2017. In 2019 he joined Northrop & Johnson’s Palma brokerage team enabling him to upscale his career in the yachting industry with the support of a large global brokerage.

Caroline Antlett graduated from Oxford University before abandoning the city for a life at sea. She began her career in the yachting industry as a chef on sailing yachts in 2006. Caroline studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and enjoyed seven years working on board yachts. She has sailed around the world from the Mediterranean and Caribbean to the Pacific Islands, the Galapagos, Thailand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. Moving ashore in 2012, Caroline worked first in yacht management. She then transitioned to business development for a superyacht law firm and later a yacht management company.
