Ilker Tahincioglu Joins N&J as Yacht Broker

Northrop & Johnson is thrilled to welcome Ilker Tahincioglu to its international team as Yacht Broker. Ilker will be based out of Istanbul in Turkey.

With over two decades of varied experience in the yachting industry, spanning brokerage, new builds, refits and repairs, Ilker brings a wealth of experience to N&J’s growing European operation. He looks forward to growing the ever-expanding portfolio of repeat clients in Europe.

Ilker comes from a family with a long history in real estate and industrial manufacturing—spanning three generations—as well as shipbuilding, with his family owning a shipyard for over 18 years. As a result, he has always had a fascination with the sea. As a young child, Ilker grew up on the water, later competing in both powerboat racing and sailing regattas. He pursued architectural studies at Northwestern University in Boston, then NYIT in New York. In 2004, Ilker founded ICT Brokerage, a Turkish company focused on yacht brokerage. Over six very successful years, the firm earned a reputation for reliability and expertise within the local yachting scene. Ilker joins N&J with the aim of expanding the N&J brand together with Deniz Kaymaz who has already established a firm foundation in Turkey.

When he’s not hard at work, Ilker enjoys spending time with his family, working on environmental projects and classic cars, especially from the 60s and 70s.
