TATOOSH is an American classic that was custom built by Vic Franck Boatyard in 1961 for a member of the Boeing Aircraft family. The sailing yacht is arguably one of the most luxurious sailing yachts ever commissioned in the Pacific Northwest by Vic Franck. TATOOSH was designed by Ben Seaborne, engineered by Boeing Aircraft and rigged by Sparkman and Stephens. The yacht’s hull is constructed in with Alaskan Yellow Cedar and is bronze fastened — even the rudder is bronze.

Built for world cruising the sailing yacht offers all the comforts needed for extended sailing. The main salon is timeless and practical. It is adorned with teak paneling and teak and holly varnished floors. The galley is well-equipped for prepping meals while the main salon provides the ideal spot to unwinding.

TATOOSH has three lovely cabins that accommodate up to eight guests. The sailing yacht’s master stateroom offers two large double beds. The additional guest staterooms include as stateroom with a double bed and a single bed and a stateroom with a double bed. The master stateroom has its own private en-suite bath while the other two staterooms share a bath. The yacht also has a stateroom for two crewmembers.

While sailing or at anchor, the yacht’s cockpit is the ideal space to entertain guests. There are contoured seats on each side capable of seating 12 to 15 people and a center steering console.

Sailing yacht TATOOSH has had generous owners though out its lifetime. The most notable was the late actor Peter Fonda who cruised TATOOSH extensively throughout the South Pacific, Hawaii and Mexico.
