Northrop & Johnson is pleased to announce that the 154’ (47m) Admiral Marine 1998 superyacht STAR DIAMOND is headed to auction in partnership with Boathouse Auctions. Currently listed for $8,950,000 with Yacht Broker Carl Sputh, STAR DIAMOND will be sold without reserve, presenting the opportunity to acquire a proven pedigree yacht to the highest bidder, regardless of price. The official viewing period opens February 27, 2026, with buyer due diligence conducted in person and live online bidding set to take place on April 1, 2026. STAR DIAMOND will be on display with N&J and available for viewings during the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show.
This tri-deck superyacht offers exceptional volume for her class. Constructed to RINA Class specifications, equipped with Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers (4 fins), with control systems upgraded in 2024, she delivers comfort both underway and at anchor. From 2023 to 2024, over $9 million was invested in major mechanical, structural, and shipyard upgrades.
Her interior, designed by Donald Starkey, can be described as relaxed coastal elegance with expansive windows filling each space with natural light. The main salon, featuring Bubinga wood paneling and updated ceiling panels in 2024, offers a warm and versatile environment that can be transformed into a gym, game room or spa. The dining area showcases two circular tables seating six each, convertible into one oval table for 12. A galley updated in 2024 features top-of-the-line commercial appliances.
STAR DIAMOND welcomes 10 guests in five cabins, highlighted by a full-beam master suite with a custom king bed, private lounge and a his-and-hers marble bath. The layout is flexible, with two convertible cabins that can be configured as twins or kings, as well as a sliding wall that creates a spacious full-beam VIP suite. She also accommodates 10 crew across six cabins, including four doubles, a captain’s cabin and an engineer’s cabin. With the right ownership and charter management, STAR DIAMOND was previously a proven charter powerhouse, capable of covering her annual running costs.
Exterior design by Lou Codega complements her expansive deck spaces, including what is widely regarded as the best sundeck in her size category, rivaling yachts up to 185 feet. The sundeck features twin U-shaped bars, a Jacuzzi, a barbecue area, shaded lounge spaces and easy interior access via a circular staircase. The skylounge is equally inviting, offering a honey onyx wet bar, plush seating and an 80-inch theater screen with an advanced entertainment system, flowing out to a shaded upper deck dining area for 12.
STAR DIAMOND’s aft deck is spacious and well-organized, with space available to accommodate a 19’ tender and four Jet Skis. Two Jet Skis, along with other toys, may be stored beneath the main deck in a concealed garage. The tender chocks are removable, and the storage boxes along the centerline convert into buffet servers for large gatherings.
