The 78.3’ (23.86m) SKYTHIA is now listed for sale with Northrop & Johnson Yacht Broker Sean McCarter. The yacht is priced at €2,200,000 and is currently located in Rostock, Germany, relocating to the Mediterranean next spring/summer.
A steel-hulled, gaff-rigged schooner, the striking SKYTHIA is a modern-classic replica of the world’s most famous racing yacht, the AMERICA. Her classic exterior has been meticulously maintained, and having undergone a recent refit in 2021, she’s in top condition for a new owner. Her enormous bowsprit comprises almost one-third of her length, providing tack points for two furling headsails. The varnished coach roofs are crowned with polished brass-framed hatches and her recently painted black hull is trimmed with intricate gold-coloured bow carvings.
While SKYTHIA has enjoyed some enviable results on the classic racing circuit, she is also a successful charter yacht. She is an excellent platform for corporate and team building charters. SKYTHIA also cruises privately each summer. She can comfortably accommodate six to eight guests across three beautifully appointed cabins, with room for four additional crew members. She has a full-beam master suite and two separate guest cabins, each with separate ensuites.
Her main salon features richly oiled sole boards and a dining table for six to port. It’s a beautiful area to relax and socialize. Her navigation and communication equipment are also located aft in her salon by her well-equipped galley. A separate on-deck dining area is located in her aft-cockpit, well protected and seating eight across her curved teak benches and beautifully varnished cockpit table.
SKYTHIA underwent a major refit in 2020-21. Her 370HP Yanmar engine was fully serviced at 1,400 hours, and she enjoys a new Fischer Panda Generator (4000 Neos), new hot water boiler and new service batteries with Mastervolt chargers. Her engine room was also replumbed, rewired, repainted and reinsulated. She was newly outfitted with a full Raymarine instrument package. SKYTHIA was fully repainted and varnished and shows in outstanding condition.
