Northrop & Johnson is proud to announce the sale of the 57-foot (17.37m) Southerly sailing yacht ROSETTA. The yacht was on the market for only a short period of time before her sale by Yacht Broker Bill Titus, acting on behalf of the seller.
Launched in 2010 by Southerly, ROSETTA is an exceptionally well-equipped sailing yacht in excellent condition with an innovative design, powerful performance and supreme build quality, among other features. Dubois Naval Architecture and the interior team from Rhoades Young were commissioned to work with Southerly flagship 57SR line, of which ROSETTA is a member. All yachts in this line are built in excess of Lloyds and all conform to CE Category A.
ROSETTA offers an incredible level of stability and safety, which also translates to comfort for all aboard. The yacht has a beam of 17 feet (5.18m) and a maximum draft of almost 11 feet (3.32m). Although best powered by the wind, ROSETTA does have an inboard Steyr marine engine that provides her with 163 horsepower allowing for a maximum speed of nine knots and a cruising speed of eight knots. Designed for easy sail handling by only two people, ROSETTA has a powerful rig with swept-back spreaders that ensures swift sailing in all conditions.
The interior spaces of ROSETTA are open, bright and welcoming thanks to large windows that provide natural light. American cherry is found throughout. The salon is outfitted with two U-shaped built-in settees, one to port and one to starboard, surrounding two tables where guests can relax, socialize and dine. ROSETTA welcomes up to six guests in three beautiful staterooms. Each is well-appointed and provides restful nights at sea for all aboard.
ROSETTA’s on-deck spaces are well suited for sailing and enjoying the sunshine.
