Delivered new in 2022 as a Horizon model year 2023, RIO is a turnkey Horizon FD90 that combines large-yacht livability with refined build quality; she is ideally configured for both private cruising and successful charter operations.

Built by Horizon Yachts for coastal and island cruising, RIO offers a versatile, high-volume platform that punches far above her size. At 90’ (27.45m) with a beam of 23’4” (7.11m) and draft of 6’ (1.83m), she features expansive guest and social spaces rarely seen in her category.

Designed in collaboration with Cor D. Rover (interior) and Horizon’s in-house team (exterior/architecture), RIO’s interior is centered around light, flow, and livability. A main salon with panoramic windows, an enclosed galley for discreet service, and an upper skylounge with alfresco dining and sun sail shading deliver modern luxury with superyacht sensibility.

Guest accommodation is equally impressive. RIO sleeps up to 10 guests across five en-suite cabins, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck. Two queen staterooms, a VIP convertible from king to twins, and a midship convertible from twins to queen complete the flexible layout.

Underway, RIO’s GRP hull and superstructure, combined with Horizon’s Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) and High Performance Piercing Bow (HPPB), ensure efficient cruising and superior ride comfort across a variety of conditions. Twin MTU 16V engines (2,060h) with warranty through 2027 provide a cruising speed of 11 knots and top speeds between 17–19 knots, with fuel burn as low as 32 gal/hr at 9 knots. Equipped with SidePower bow and stern thrusters, stabilizers at anchor and underway, she is optimized for confident handling and guest comfort.

A proven charter performer, RIO commands rates from approximately $90,000/week plus expenses, emphasizing her appeal as a lifestyle asset and revenue generator. Exterior amenities include a hydraulic swim platform, forward Jacuzzi, flybridge with sunpads, and a full suite of toys.
