RANGER SOLD IN-HOUSE BY NORTHROP & JOHNSON

Posted February 15, 2019 in Brokerage & New Build by Janine St.Denis

As the first modern J-Class built, RANGER’s design is based on the original lines of the famous "Super J" RANGER, which defended the America’s Cup in 1937. The new RANGER was launched in 2003 at Danish Yachts shipyard and has been upgraded and updated throughout her life ensuring her status as a classic sailing racer as well as a modern family cruiser.

RANGER is no stranger to the winner’s circle. Her achievements range from first-prize winner at the 2010 St. Barths Bucket and first-prize winner of her division at Les Voiles de St. Tropez in 2015 to her 2017 second-prize win in the J-Class at America's Cup Superyacht Regatta in Bermuda and her third-place win at the J-Class World Championship in Newport the same year. In addition to sailing achievements, RANGER has also gained prestige in the industry as the winner of the "Highest Technical Achievement in a Sailing Yacht” at the ShowBoats Design Awards in 2004.

Well-suited for family life, RANGER features the luxurious amenities of a modern superyacht. The ambiance below deck is tranquil, thanks to this sailing yacht’s ‘floating” interior, which is classic mahogany with raised paneling, designed by Glade Johnson Design. The yacht accommodates up to 10 guests in the owner’s party in four beautifully appointed staterooms; she also has accommodations for eight crewmembers.
