The 132′ (40.23m) modern classic schooner NAEMA, is now for sale with Northrop & Johnson Senior Broker Hank Halsted of Newport and Yacht Broker Sean McCarter of Palma de Mallorca. The luxury sailing yacht is asking $5,950,000.

NAEMA was built by Graafship, Holland, in 2006. The yacht benefitted from an extensive 2014/2015 refit at Hodgdon Yachts of Boothbay, Maine, that included all electrical and mechanical systems. She is a perfect example of a timeless 1930s-style sailing yacht with all the modern amenities that promise optimal guest comfort. The yacht’s versatility ensures she is small enough to anchor in small bays and big enough to cross all oceans in absolute comfort and safety.

NAEMA’s exterior spaces are functional and spacious. She has a broad expanse of teak decking on her side and mid-deck areas with convenient stowage for her tenders. The elevated helm ensures clear visibility of the horizon forward, and the guest cockpit features a large drop leaf varnished teak dining table surrounded by cushioned seating, ideal for lovely alfresco meals. Her deck salon joins the cockpit and is fully protected from the elements. There is comfortable seating on the raised L-shaped settees to port and starboard, with the navigation station forward to port and an office desk forward to starboard. Large oval windows surround the pilothouse allowing an unobstructed view to the horizon.

The interior styling of NAEMA is classic with bright varnished Anigre cabin soles and varnished, raised panel Mahogany. The attention to detail showcased throughout her interior is awe-inspiring and blends seamlessly with the clever color palette of neutrals and hints of blue. Her main salon and dining area are full-width and provide a comfortable, elegant space for guests to gather and socialize. The salon is decorated with leaded glass cabinets outboard, fore and aft, enhancing the magnificent traditional ambiance of NAEMA’s interior.

NAEMA sleeps eight guests in three staterooms, each showcasing the same traditional styling as the rest of her interior. Her cabin configuration is made up of a master stateroom with a king-size berth, a cabin with double and Pullman berths and a cabin with a wide single and double lower berth, and a Pullman. Her crew quarters are forward and comprise three cabins plus a captain’s cabin aft.
