The 132-foot (40.23m) MARLIN DEL REY V has received a significant $2,000,000 price reduction. Listed with Yacht Broker Whit Kirtland, the sailing yacht is now asking $1,500,000.

MARLIN DEL REY V is a one-of-a-kind sailing yacht that boasts a notable pedigree, excellent sailing performance and spacious living areas. The yacht showcases timeless, elegant lines by naval architects Tony Castro and Ron Holland as well as a high-quality build by Lürssen. Commissioned by a longtime yachtsman, MARLIN DEL REY V was launched in 1993 with a build of unparalleled standards. Since her launch, the sailing yacht has been continually updated throughout her life to ensure her good condition.

Ken Freivokh designed the luxury sailing yacht’s elegant interior. Throughout the interior, the unparalleled attention to detail is evident. MARLIN DEL REY V has a welcoming deck salon that opens up to a large guest cockpit. Both spaces showcase sweeping panoramic views and ample space for hosting guests.

The Lürssen sailing yacht MARLIN DEL REY V offers accommodations for up to six guests in three/four nicely appointed staterooms. The yacht’s master cabin is located amidship, providing the utmost comfort to the owners. The master cabin features a king-size bed, a walk-in dressing room, a private seating area (with a sofa that converts into a sailing berth) and his-and-hers en-suite baths. MARLIN DEL REY V’s additional staterooms include two cabins with side-by-side double berth and en-suite baths. The sailing yacht also has a captain’s cabin that can be used as a guest room, if needed.

A big requirement for the build of MARLIN DEL REY V was exceptional stability, and Lürssen excelled. The sailing yacht’s ketch heels no more than 20 degrees when close-hauled and carrying full sail in Beaufort Force 6 and associated sea conditions. This was accomplished by having a wide, 30-foot (9.2m) beam that uses low resistance, a large volume bulb keel, and close attention to weight calculations.
