A TASTE OF SWITZERLAND FROM AUSTRALIA

Hoppe then visited Australia, where he fell in love with both the country and his future wife. In Australia, Bausele was born. Hoppe’s new brand was a unique combination of his homeland and his new land. His timepieces were marriages of stone from the Outback and the technical know-how of his Alpine nation.

The brand’s launch centered around a campaign featuring new global brand ambassador Dominic Purcell — an Australian actor best known for his starring role in the hit FOX series Prison Break — and Hoppe’s Ocean Moon II. This stunning timepiece features moon phase and tide indicators and is water resistance up to 20 ATM; these make it the ideal watch for the ocean enthusiast. Available in four models, Currawong, Magpie, Cave Black or Drover, it retails at $890.

All Bausele watches are packaged with a magnifying lens so customers are easily able to explore every detail of the design, which demonstrates the level of pride Bausele has in its timepieces. They also boast a signature hollow-glass crown through which physical elements of Australia (red earth, sand or opal) are stored and can be seen. This links the brand’s watches, and those who wear them, directly to the incredible land that inspired their creation. All Bausele timepieces are sold with two easily interchangeable quick-release straps  —one leather, one rubber — making each watch more versatile. They also have a five-year warranty to offer consumers piece of mind and guaranteed quality.

The Chrono S, a nautically inspired watch, and the Pilot Automatic, which is similar to watches traditionally worn by aviation pilots, also are currently available. The Terra Australis, the crown jewel of the range will launch July 7, 2016.
