With Spring comes the opening of The Ritz-Carlton Maldives. Located at Fari Islands – an archipelago of four islands found in the North Malé Atoll, the 100-villa property is just one of three brand-new resorts opening across the Fari Islands. Set on some of the Maldives’ most beautiful beaches and surrounded by turquoise lagoons and coral reefs teeming with marine life, guests will have access to a choice of outstanding culinary venues serving international and local cuisines, in addition to a full suite of fitness and recreational facilities, including the signature Ritz-Carlton Spa. Added to these exclusive facilities is the Fari Marina Village, which lies at the center of the archipelago and offers superyacht “on-dock” fueling. Built around a beach club and dotted with boutiques and restaurants, guests can access the marina from the resort by boat.

Located at the crossroads of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street, on what has to be one of the finest corners in the city, Aman New York offers the brand’s renowned unparalleled service, world-class dining and a comprehensive Aman Spa. The design, by legendary architect Jean-Michel Gathy, pays homage to the Crown Building’s striking architecture, imbued with the spirit of Aman throughout the 83 guest rooms and suites, and 22 private branded residences. portofino Pocket-Sized Portofino Revived

The reopening of the Splendido, a Belmond Hotel, Portofino this spring is welcoming news for the superyacht set. Reviving the timeless allure of Portofino, the Splendido has long been a firm favorite with the yachting crowd, who tender ashore to dine by the water’s edge at the properties renowned harborside restaurant, which also sees a new level of gastronomic excellence under its new name DaV Mare. Located down the hill from the iconic Belmond Hotel Splendido, the coastal icon emerges refreshed with a redesign that embraces its maritime heritage, paying homage to the harbor’s nautical history while at the same time reinvigorating this hot spot on the Italian Riviera.

An Aegean Idyll Comes to Mykonos

Once home to Greek gods and a favorite destination of artists, poets, designers and now the superyacht set, Mykonos is the epitome of laid-back island luxury. Telling the island’s story, Kalesma is a new luxury boutique hotel that boasts scenic indoor/outdoor living, uninterrupted views of the Aegean Sea and an emphasis on classic Mykonian warmth and hospitality. With experiences like shared guest-only dinners and sunset celebrations (the hotel sits on a hill overlooking the sea on two sides for sunsets and sunrises), evening D.J. entertainment and weekly culinary events, guests are encouraged to partake in the lighthearted island lifestyle that this Aegean idyll is all about.

Other noteworthy additions to the property portfolios in some of the hottest cruising grounds include the revival of the iconic St. Barth’s Le Guanahani, Soho Beach House Canouan in the Grenadines, the One&Only Portonovi in Montenegro, and Villa Igiea, Palermo, which opens under the Rocco Forte umbrella.
