HIDEAWAY OFF MEXICO'S GULF COAST

The small, yet paradisiacal island of Holbox is home to CasaSandra Boutique Hotel. With only 18 rooms and suites, CasaSandra is the ideal place to relax and renew your spirit. This home away from home began as the private residence of Cuban-born singer, artist and producer Sandra Perez Lozano. It then became a retreat where her famous friends would come to visit and get off the grid.

The hotel’s interiors reflect the local crafts and rich artistic history of Mexico. Activities include beach Pilates and yoga, snorkeling, diving with whale sharks, dolphin watching and exploring Yalahau Lagoon. The resort can be reached only by ferry, private boat or a small plane. There are no cars on the island.

There is a combination of standard rooms, beachfront rooms, garden and ocean suites, plus a villa and a master suite with expansive ocean views.  Cuisine includes local fruits, fresh juices and a combination of Mexican and Cuban favorites.  There is Wi-Fi, if you really want to stay connected, in all rooms and public areas are air-conditioned; only the villa offers a television.
