It’s Showtime for Zeelander

Nothing rouses excitement for the upcoming summer and long days spent on the water than a dazzling display of the world’s most exciting yachts. And while Fort Lauderdale may host the biggest in-water boat show around, the sister event in Palm Beach – held March 26-29 – has to be one of the most fun and easy-going events to grace the yachting calendar. What better way to pass a spring weekend than perusing world-class yachts followed by a long lunch or entertaining dinner on the vibrant Clematis Street, just a short hop from the glamorous hotels and beachside residences of Palm Beach.

This year marks a particularly exciting Palm Beach International Boat Show for pedigree Dutch yacht builder Zeelander, as it will be showcasing a full line-up of its beautiful and elegant sports cruisers, including the Z72 flagship, the Z55 and the Z44.

Launched last year, at 72 feet (22m) the all-new Z72 is the largest yacht to be built by Zeelander. With exterior design developed in collaboration with Cor D. Rover, it bridges the gap between classic icon and contemporary performance cruiser. With elegant curves in abundance, the Z72’s understated elegance is timeless, yet it boasts ample modern design features that you would usually expect to see on a much larger yacht. These include a roomy 19-foot (6m) beam, a hydraulically extending swim platform with 107 square feet (10 square meters) of waterside space, oversized cabin windows and high attention to detail. Up to 22 guests can be comfortably accommodated on board, with ample lounging and seating space throughout. The Z72 brings performance and style in equal measure, with a top speed of over 40 knots from its three 1,000hp Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines.

Featuring over 25 percent more volume than its little sister, the Z55 was conceived as the ultimate owner-driven yacht that can fit in just about any berth. Displaying Zeelander’s impeccable quality in finishing and materials, not to mention easy handling, three comfortable cabins, storage in abundance and a tender garage, it is the perfect step up for any yacht owner who wants to maximize enjoyment.

The instantly recognizable Z44 is a classic yacht in its own right; as Zeelander’s original model, it became the standard-bearer for all that would follow. With a high bow and double chines to offer a reassuringly comfortable and dry ride, the Z44 has impressive performance on open water. The 360-degree panoramic views from the cockpit’s six seats immerse you in the surroundings, while an oversized sunroof converts the wheelhouse into an open-air haven. Two double cabins offer plush accommodation for up to four guests on the lower deck.

Zeelander has further cause for celebration this spring, as it has recently opened its new Zeelander North America division in the yachting hub of Fort Lauderdale. With an ever-expanding loyal clientele who keep their yachts in the region, the company feels that the time has come to provide local, on-the-ground support in North America.

Zeelander will have an expert team on the ground throughout the show to take visitors on private tours of its yachts, while also offering guidance on the range of customizable features that make the yachts truly special. To arrange a private viewing in advance, contact Zeelander directly, or come visit Zeelander at in-water slips 151, 152, and 153 at the Palm Beach International Boat Show.
