Northrop & Johnson, the leader in luxury yachting and lifestyle, was ranked first in the Medium-sized Company category in South Florida Business Journal’s 2021 Best Places to Work Awards.

One of the most coveted honors a South Florida-based business can receive, South Florida Business Journal’s annual Best Places to Work Awards recognize the region’s leading employers. Companies are nominated and scored based on the results of an employee survey that evaluates factors including communication and resources, personal engagement, team dynamics and trust in leadership. Companies are then ranked in small, medium and large categories based on their number of employees.

“Creating an atmosphere where team members feel appreciated and know that their hard work is valued is at the core of who we are as a company,” says Northrop & Johnson President & COO Daniel Ziriakus. “This special recognition is a testament to Northrop & Johnson’s fun and inclusive culture, extraordinary team and the rewarding and meaningful work that brings us together every day.”

The 2021 Best Places to Work honorees comprise South Florida’s leading companies when it comes to employee engagement, benefits and an exceptional work environment. Faced with the unique challenges that came out of the COVID-19 pandemic, these employers successfully navigated the “new normal” by remotely connecting their teams, maintaining the company culture with Zoom check-ins and happy hours and with regular and thorough company communications.

Northrop & Johnson along with the other Best Places to Work finalists were announced and recognized at an outdoor celebration on February 25. Northrop & Johnson was also featured in the South Florida Business Journal’s special 2021 Best Places to Work feature.
