Inside Out 203’ (62m) Benetti Superyacht Lumiere II

Posted October 1, 2018 in Charter by Janine St.Denis

In 2010, Italian shipbuilder Benetti launched a 203-foot (62m) luxury superyacht to rival even the most stylish yachts on the water. From her keel to her sundeck, LUMIERE II drips with Italian refinement and design. Premier naval architect Stefano Natucci lent his expertise when styling the yacht’s exterior while Italian design house Studio Massari crafted an interior that glimmers with gold and exudes elegance.

Originally launched as BISTANGO, LUMIERE II (ex MINE GAMES) is as sumptuous as they come. Following a 2015 refit, this yacht is exactly where you want to be during a charter season. She welcomes up to 12 guests in six staterooms, which include a master suite, a VIP and four guestrooms all outfitted to the highest possible specifications.

Boarding LUMIERE II from the beach club, you will be greeted by the smiling stewardesses with a glass of Champagne. You then can make your way to the main deck aft where you will pass a large dining table for up to 12 guests and two lounge areas. This is the perfect spot for morning coffee and breakfast. Walking further, you will enter the yacht’s opulent main salon. A color palate of black, cream and gold can be found throughout the yacht. Lavish fabrics drape the furnishings to create a space that is as beautiful to look at as it is comfortable to enjoy. The main salon features two mirrored sitting areas where guests can sit back with a good book or socialize. Formal dining is found further forward. Below a stunning crystalline lighting fixture, a black lacquer table is surrounded by ivory-and-black chairs. Here, guests will enjoy a five-star meal prepared by the yacht’s exemplary chef. The main deck also is home to a marble-soled foyer where guests will find a glass elevator that accesses all decks of the yacht.

The first of the staterooms, a split-level master, is located forward on the main deck. Featuring large, mirrored dressing rooms with a sofa, a full-beam master lounge with an oversized couch and ottomans and a large flat-screen TV, and an office area with bookshelves, a desk and desktop computer, the master suite is perfectly suited for extra privacy, if requested or required. The yacht’s striking gold, black and crème color palate is continued into the master suite for a cohesive aesthetic throughout.

Moving further forward into the master suite through the lounge is the bedroom featuring en-suite his-and-hers bathrooms — his is located to starboard; hers to port. While both bathrooms feature single sinks, bidets and showers, hers features a large Jacuzzi tub with a rain shower. The space is outfitted with a full walk-around king-size bed, sitting chairs, a retractable TV and an overhead skylight with a retractable shade.

The lower deck of the yacht is home to four staterooms; all are accessed via the beautiful staircase or the elevator. These staterooms comprise one king, two queens and one twin, ensuring the layout works for a variety of charter clients, including families. All four of these staterooms feature 42-inch flat-screen TVs with movie systems, en-suite baths — the king and two queens feature large Jacuzzi tubs with rain showers. Two of the staterooms also feature Pullman berths.

The bridge deck aft features a large alfresco dining table for up to 12 guests and lounge seating. Further forward, the skylounge is the ideal place for entertaining and socializing. This large space is surrounded by windows, flooding the space with natural light and providing a wonderful vantage point for viewing the cruising destination. A full bar with bar stools ensures this place is perfect for evening cocktails. A large L-shaped sofa, chairs and ottomans provide ample seating. A large flat-screen TV makes this spot ideal for watching movies in the evening. A baby grand piano further sets the stage for elegance and grandeur.

The VIP stateroom also is located on the upper deck. It features a large en-suite bathroom with a jetted bathtub, a shower, single sink and a bidet, a king-size bed, flat-screen TV, desk, mini fridge and ample windows providing views and plentiful natural light.

LUMIERE II’ sundeck offers it all. Sun worshipers and shade seekers both will enjoy abundant spaces. Forward, guests can take a dip in the large Jacuzzi that is surrounded by seating and two umbrellas for shade. The sundeck is accessed by the yacht’s elevator. It features an enclosed gym, a large dining table for up to 12 guests and a flat-screen TV. LUMIERE II is equipped with a helipad that doubles as a dance floor and also can be used for additional seating as sun loungers are added when not in use.

LUMIERE II also offers tenders and toys aplenty. From a 31-foot (9.45m) center-console towed tender to a 22-foot (7m) Castoldi jet drive and a 14-foot (4.45m) Williams Tender, LUMIERE II has all the support boats necessary. She also is fully kitted out with toys. WaveRunners, SeaBobs, water skis, wakeboards, towables, kiteboards, snorkeling gear, kayaks, exercise equipment and free weights all are on offer for guests to use.

LUMIERE II currently is available for charter with Northrop & Johnson. She cruises the Caribbean and The Bahamas in the winter and the Western Mediterranean in the summer. For more information on chartering LUMIERE II, please email your preferred Northrop & Johnson charter broker.
