DESIGN TRENDS

Multifunctional spaces on board, including staterooms-turned-gyms or nanny cabins functioning as office spaces, are nothing new. We have also seen a trend in bonus spaces on larger yachts to include everything from snow rooms to underwater viewing lounges. The trend is seeing a resurgence in 2025 with smaller-sized yachts incorporating everything from mud rooms to games areas. One such vessel is the 154’3” (47.5m) SERENISSIMA I from Mengi Yay. Utilizing the foredeck space on the tri-deck, the designers have incorporated a boxing ring complete with punchbag and gloves in the bow. SERENISSIMA I is available for €34,950,000 through Northrop & Johnson.

From cutting-edge technologies to groundbreaking designs, each of the yachts embrace the limitless imagination of yacht owners, designers, and shipyards. With a length of 640’ (194.9m) and just over 19,000 gross tonnage, the record-breaking research expedition vessel REV is set to take the place of the largest yacht ever built. Constructed by the Norwegian shipyard Vard, she is equipped with some of the most sophisticated scientific research facilities on board while boasting luxurious interior guest areas designed by H2 Yacht Design.

Five of the ten largest deliveries are from the German shipyard Lürssen, including the 440’ (134.2m) DEEP BLUE boasting 9,000GT and the 374’6” (114.2m) Project COSMOS.
