MONDOMARINE LAUNCHES 50M SUPERYACHT

Designed by Milan-based Hot Lab Studios, M50 features a sporty and unique red hull color, which was selected by the owner. Her naval architecture is by Mondomarine Engineering. The all aluminum yacht boasts a three-deck layout with a particularly spacious sundeck that comprises sunpads, a bar, an alfresco dining area and a Jacuzzi.

IPANEMA’s interior is classically styled with full-height windows running almost the entire length of the main deck, allowing for natural lighting and spectacular views while cruising. More than a dozen different types of marbles can be found throughout the yacht; these include, onyx, mahogany and briar. Thirty-seven different motifs were used to decorate the yachts’ interior spaces, including her staterooms, two lounges and other public and private areas, creating a decorative richness.

“The innovative look of this project follows Mondomarine’s traditional styling and heritage, adding innovative design solutions that give the yacht’s profile a flowing and appealing line, enriched by the magnificent color combinations,” said Antonio Romano of Hot Lab. “One of the best design features of IPANEMA is definitely the stern. It is characterized by a single edge, which smoothly aligns the entire yacht, from stern to the forward windows.”

Performance-wise the superyacht is outfitted with a pair of MTU 12V 4000 M90 marine diesel engines that provide a 20-knot maximum speed and a cruising speed between 16 and 17 knots.

With an overall length of 161 feet (49.20m) and an overall beam of 29.52 feet (9.00m), IPANEMA offers luxurious accommodation for up to 12 guests in four guest cabins and large master suite. The yacht will undergo sea trials and is expected for delivery by the end of July.
