JOHN ARRUDA JOINS NORTHROP & JOHNSON AS SALES BROKER

Posted February 15, 2019 in Brokerage & New Build by Janine St.Denis

John was born in Germany on a U.S. Air Force base. His family moved to Oslo, Norway, when John was very young, and opened a boat dealership. During his childhood, John could always be found working along side his father in the family business; this is where he developed his maritime skills, knowledge and experience.

After completing his education in Norway, John moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. John began his career by crewing on yachts. By his mid-twenties, he was a seasoned crewmember with his captain’s license. John then obtained his yacht broker’s license and moved into another sector of the yachting industry. He began a charter company specializing in high-speed, high-performance boats. John then founded Turbine Marine Inc., where his focus shifted to building custom high-speed, high-performance boats. John’s ingenuity lead him to also create a turbine powered generator  that was elected by the U.S. Nuclear Power Plant Industry to serve as the official emergency standby generator in case of a nuclear emergency or disaster in the United States.

Now with Northrop & Johnson, John’s focus again has shifted to high-end yacht brokerage. He looks forward to utilizing his knowledge and expertise to help his clients realize their own yachting dreams.
