GRAND ILLUSION SOLD BY NORTHROP & JOHNSON

Built by Santa Cruz in 1986, GRAND ILLUSION was designed for racing and has proven herself on the podium. The yacht has won Transpac Race to Hawaii three times and the West Coast 70s Sled Championship multiple times. The sailing also held the elapsed time record for the Victoria-to-Maui race for 16 years.

GRAND ILLUSION received many updates in 2017 including six new spinnakers, new racing bottom paint, B&G H500 Instrumentation, five 30×30 displays mounted on the mast and running rigging.

The sailing yacht’s interior has all the necessities needed for open ocean racing. The yacht is able to accommodate up to eight guests with a double berth and seven single berths.
