When Captain David was introduced to Kevin Merrigan through another broker, David had been working for the same yacht owners for over a decade and had already overseen two new-construction projects on their behalf. The yacht owners had had their 50-...Done right, a new construction project is a rewarding effort in making a dream come true. When Captain David was introduced to Kevin Merrigan through another broker, David had been working for the same yacht owners for over a decade and had already overseen two new-construction projects on their behalf. The yacht owners had had their 50-meter boat for sale for some time and were looking for new momentum. Once Northrop & Johnson took command of the sellers’ listing, Merrigan and co-broker Wes Sanford worked closely with Captain David on marketing the boat. Though the owners were not immediately in the market for the next boat, over time, a picture began to develop of what that next boat might be. As a sale of the 50-meter appeared on the horizon, the captain and owners began to seriously consider what they would do next.
