Bold in both color and capability, RED SKY is a head-turning 100’ Nautor’s Swan pilothouse sloop that represents the pinnacle of Northern European yacht building. Launched in Finland in 2003 and conceived by a highly experienced original owner, she combines the architectural brilliance of German Frers with the flawless joiner work and engineering Nautor’s Swan is revered for. Extensively maintained and never chartered, RED SKY has lived a life of light family cruising, cared for by a professional crew and an attentive second owner. With extensive upgrades in recent years, from new sails and paint to a complete systems modernization, she stands today as a rare turnkey offering for a true connoisseur.
At her core, RED SKY is engineered for long-range bluewater sailing without compromise. Her high-modulus carbon fiber mast and in-boom furling boom are by Southern Spars, matched with titanium hardware, a welded titanium mast step, and updated Navtec rod rigging (inspected and re-headed in 2019 and again in 2024). A full hydraulic system powers her Reckmann carbon furling headstay, Navtec backstay, captive winches, anchor deployment, boom furling, and garage door. She sails easily with a small crew and has participated in elite events like the 2025 St. Barths Bucket. Under power, a new Cummins QSB 6.7 main engine and twin Northern Lights generators (25kW and 16kW) ensure smooth, quiet operation across the globe.
Her hull, constructed with laminated fiberglass, aramid fibers, carbon reinforcement and vacuum-bagged Nomex cored bulkheads, delivers strength and stiffness without excess weight. Her 30-ton lead keel with stainless steel studs, carbon spade rudder, and composite rudder stock support serious offshore confidence. Four watertight bulkheads, robust bilge systems, and a sealed transom garage offer next-level security underway. The vivid red Awlgrip hull, refreshed with snow-white cove and boot stripes, sits atop a black antifouling bottom; a commanding presence in any port.
On deck, RED SKY blends functionality and flair. The teak decks were replaced using epoxy and vacuum bagging (no screws), including the cabin top and trunk cabin, all painted oyster white. A fully custom carbon fiber hardtop and dodger, added recently, transform the cockpit into a protected, three-sided alfresco haven for dining, lounging, or helming. Twin wheels, a molded U-shaped settee, and helm bolsters support easy passage-making or casual evening entertaining. The hydraulic transom garage accesses the Williams diesel jet tender, dive gear, and more, and creates a spectacular swim platform when deployed.
Step below and RED SKY’s interior reveals itself. Satin-varnished teak joinery, honeycomb-cored soles, and soft Ultra-Leather overheads create a warm, acoustically soft environment that is both refined and functional. The raised salon is elevated for visibility and features a curved dining banquette, generous settee, wet bar, and ambient rope lighting. Forward lies the technical nerve center: a full nav station, entry to the engine room, and a beautifully equipped galley.
RED SKY sleeps up to seven guests in three staterooms, including a full-beam aft owner’s suite, two guest cabins with en-suites, and an optional Pullman berth. Crew quarters forward offer space for up to four across two en-suite cabins, fully separated for privacy and professional service.
She also benefits from a deep history of meticulous refit work. Major investments include new sails, new PLC-based power management, new topside paint, new air conditioning systems, new batteries, and a fully reconfigured helm panel. Highlights from her multi-stage refits (2011–2013, and 2019–present) include electronics rewiring, teak replacement, rigging disassembly and testing, main and jib replacement, and extensive cosmetic renewal.
With Nautor Swan’s renowned build quality, overbuilt safety systems, and timeless performance under sail, RED SKY offers an opportunity to acquire a modern classic that is elegant and capable.
