Highlights of recent mechanical works spring/summer 2025 and sall 2024. Additional refit information is available in specifications:
Main Engines – Port and starboard exhaust elbows, mixers, and spray rings replaced; new raw water pumps; all engine and gearbox mountings replaced with new Vulkan mounts; new Vulkan couplings; full engine, coupling, gearbox, and shaft alignment.
Running Gear – Shafts removed, straightened, and sleeved where necessary; props inspected and reconditioned; all 6 cutlass bearings replaced and aligned; transmissions lifted, bushings replaced.
Stabilizers – Both fins removed for service, reseated, and tested; bearings, seals new on both sides. Encoder and brake wiring connectors replaced on port side motor.
Generators – Major top-end rebuild (Sept 2024); new exhaust hoses; both raw water pumps replaced; starter and ground loop solenoids replaced and relocated for easy access; fuel priming pumps installed.
Pumps & Valves – Sewage and scupper pumps overhauled; seven thru-hull valves replaced; crash pump exhaust replaced; sewage Vulkan gauge replaced.
Other Systems – Jets pumps stripped and fully serviced; numerous mechanical and electrical upgrades by specialist contractors.
