LIVE MAS is a 2017 Ocean Alexander 85 that blends semi displacement performance with refined interior design by Evan Marshall. With an 85 foot length overall, a 20 foot 1 inch beam, and 112 gross tons of volume, she delivers a balanced combination of speed, range, and onboard comfort. Powered by twin MTU 12V2000 M96 engines rated at 1,920 horsepower each, she cruises at 18 knots and reaches a top speed of 25 knots, with an approximate range of 560 nautical miles at cruising speed.
Constructed in fiberglass with a semi displacement hull form, she offers confident seakeeping and efficient operation. Key mechanical features include Sidepower zero speed stabilizers, hydraulic steering, 55 horsepower bow thruster and 40 horsepower stern thruster, twin Kohler 32 kW generators, and a Sea Recovery watermaker producing 900 gallons per day. An Ecomar waste treatment system and upgraded electrical systems with Iso Boost shorepower enhance reliability and ease of use.
The interior showcases warm wood joinery, expansive windows, and a layout designed for both entertaining and relaxed cruising. The main salon features generous seating, a formal dining area, and a seamless connection to the aft deck. The skylounge provides an additional social space with dining, lounge seating, and direct access to the flybridge. A comprehensive entertainment system with LED televisions throughout, DirecTV satellite receivers, Starlink connectivity, and Fusion audio ensures modern onboard comfort.
Accommodation is arranged for up to eight guests in four staterooms. The full beam owner’s suite offers a king size berth, ample storage, and a private ensuite. A VIP cabin forward and two guest cabins complete the guest layout, supported by well appointed heads and quality finishes. Crew quarters accommodate two to three crew, allowing for professional operation and attentive service.
The 2023 refit included full exterior Awlgrip paint from the waterline up, teak refinishing, new exterior cushions, new carpet and custom runners throughout, replacement of granite tops with quartz, updated refrigeration including a new Samsung galley refrigerator, and a rebuilt davit. A wired Glendinning docking remote was also installed to enhance maneuverability.
Equipped with a 2016 16 foot Novurania 430 DL tender with Yamaha 60 horsepower outboard and supported by modern navigation electronics, CCTV, and safety systems, LIVE MAS represents a well maintained and thoughtfully upgraded Ocean Alexander 85 ready for immediate cruising.
