JUST A VACATION is a 97' (29m) Ocean Alexander 30R delivered in 2024. Her specification departs significantly from the standard 30R, with more than 200 owner-selected changes and upgrades incorporated during the build. She is powered by twin MAN V12-1900 diesel engines and has an approximate cruising speed of 18 knots and top speed of 23 knots.
The yacht is configured for 10 guests across five staterooms, with the owner's accommodation positioned forward on the main deck. The full-beam owner's suite has a motorized Sleep Number split-king bed with a custom factory base, a large walk-in closet, wood flooring throughout the suite, two venting portlights integrated into the glazing, a 55-inch television and underbed lighting. The en-suite has been modified with two separate water closets and an enlarged shower with two glass doors, quartz flooring and under-cabinet vanity lighting. This space is a true owner’s haven.
Four additional staterooms are located on the lower deck, including a forward full-beam VIP with a king berth and private en-suite, two further cabins each with queen berths and private en-suite bathrooms, and a fifth cabin that provides greater flexibility through two side-by-side twin berths that can be moved together to form a single larger berth; it also has its own en-suite. A minibar and refrigerator in the guest corridor provide another practical addition for the lower deck.
On the main deck, large windows surround the salon, with the dining area arranged around a custom table for 10 that can be extended to seat 12. Considerable attention was also given to the galley specification, which includes commercial-style refrigeration and freezer equipment together with expanded custom storage. Above, the enclosed flybridge/skylounge combines another interior living space with the helm, a day head, entertainment center, recliners and a workstation.
The exterior layout provides separate areas across multiple decks. On the bridge deck aft, an alfresco dining setup accommodates 10 and is joined by a grill, fold-down television and awning. The bow has reclining sunpads that can be adjusted in either direction, additional guest seating, a hydraulic table and extendable awnings. At water level, an air-conditioned beach club incorporates a skylight, bar and refrigerator, interior seating and access to a lowering swim platform.
Her equipment specification includes stabilizers designed for operation both underway and at rest, along with a thruster package. An Atlas 50/60 Hz power system supports operation in different cruising regions while connectivity equipment includes Starlink with Wi-Fi and a satellite phone.
