This 94' Broward Motor Yacht, GOLDEN GIRL, is an excellent example of the classic Broward motor yacht with her spacious layout and accommodations for seven guests plus three in crew. Elegantly appointed interior includes a large main salon with dining area, bar area, and piano all on the main deck level with the iconic Broward “country kitchen” galley making her a perfect choice for entertaining. Lower deck accommodations include two guest staterooms and a generous master suite with “his and hers” en suite bathrooms and Jacuzzi tub aft, and ample crew quarters forward. GOLDEN GIRL features both raised pilothouse and flybridge helm stations, and outdoor entertaining areas including dining table, seating, wet bar and gas grill on the flybridge, and dining table and seating on the aft deck with additional benches on the swim platform.
GOLDEN GIRL can be boarded via port or starboard gates amidships. High gunwales and side decks ensure carefree access to the bow and its raised sun pad with cushions. Wing doors port and starboard open to the Main Salon foyers.
A full beam build out combined with a flowing interior design in the Main Salon allows for many amenities without sacrificing the feeling of open space. Entering from the starboard marble-tiled entry foyer there is a perfectly appointed 3-stool wet bar. The custom mirrored cabinetry on the forward bulkhead provides a sophisticated backdrop for this site as well as for the entire salon. Mirror polished aluminum over the bar (added in the 2004 refit) completes this dramatic setting by reflecting the black granite bar countertop below.
The Salon is done in neutral tones accented with black. Burled maple inlay on the window mullions adds warmth to the contemporary interior. Aft of the bar, port side, is a glass-topped formal dining table with black base and six upholstered chairs; to starboard are the Story & Clark player piano, a storage cabinet and the stairway leading below deck to the Guest Accommodations. Just aft are two barrel chairs and ottomans, with a curved U-shaped ultra-leather sofa surrounding a mirrored coffee table to port. The floor-to-ceiling windows and all glass double doors aft give the pace excellent natural light and contribute to the open, airy ambiance of the Main Salon.
The Aft Deck has overhead cover from the extended boat deck. There are two wicker-style cushioned armchairs to port with a teak table, and an oval teak dining table and two cushioned dining chairs starboard. Aft is bench seating with storage below and navy blue Sunbrella cushions. A center stairway leads to the swim platform. The transom has utility storage with cabinets and deck boxes to port and starboard of the stairs. There are also two additional built-in bench seats with navy-cushions.
A staircase forward and starboard in the main salon leads below to the guest accommodations with a contemporary light wood and black décor and cream-colored carpeting. At the base of the stairs, the foyer has two storage lockers and a washer and dryer concealed in a cabinet. The Master Suite is full beam, amidships, with a centerline king bed flanked by marble-topped night tables and backlit etched glass panels above. Drawer storage is abundant with built-in dressers on both the port and starboard bulkheads. A dressing table is centered between the drawers to port, and a settee is centered to starboard. There are large cedar-lined hanging lockers aft as well as an entertainment center. A shared tub and shower divide the “his” and “hers” bathrooms. “Hers” to port, also has a bidet.
The Guest Stateroom aft to port has a queen bed athwartship, while the Starboard Guest Stateroom has lower twin beds fore to aft with a Pullman berth on the inboard bulkhead. Both staterooms have drawer storage, hanging lockers, TVs with satellite receivers and en suite baths.
Moving forward from the starboard main deck foyer is the recently updated “Country Kitchen” and galley, fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, Black Galaxy granite countertops, island with cooktop and oven, and large table with both upholstered chairs and banquette seating. All new décor and galley appliances provide a comfortable, informal gathering site for both guests and crew. A large banquette can comfortably seat eight. The substantial counter space, abundant cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances make the galley a pleasure for any cook.
Fully forward starboard is a curving stairway leading below to the Crew Quarters. The forward crew cabin has twin V-berths with storage below and hanging lockers. There is a head with shower and a washer and dryer. Aft is the Captain’s Cabin with double berth to port and office/entertainment area starboard. The Engine Room access is via the watertight door from the Captain’s Cabin.
Three steps lead up to the Pilothouse from either the port or starboard main deck entry foyers. The fully equipped Pilothouse has excellent visibility. There is ample space for charts and navigational tools, and a raised bench seat has drawer storage. Just to port of the bench seat is the ladder to the Flybridge.
GOLDEN GIRL’s spacious flybridge is ideal for outdoor entertaining with comfortable seating for a large crowd. The Flybridge affords the helmsman 360-degree vistas and the extra large Bimini top protects all assembled. There are dual pedestal helm chairs and a full array of navigation equipment. The hinged mast allows access to more cruising routes. A large cabinet surrounds the mast and houses many storage lockers, a wet bar, icemaker, refrigerator and gas barbeque grill. There are Sunbrella cushioned settees both port and starboard, a teak table with chairs. Additional seating running full beam aft, is without cover and perfect for sunning.
Ideally suited for entertaining with large windows affording great views, custom bar and bar stools, formal dining area, player piano and salon curved sectional sofa and chairs.
