AANDEEL is a true custom performance sailing yacht, that is ideal for racing as well as ocean voyages and day cruises. Thanks to her power winches and mainsail, and to her other modern sail handling systems, she is easy to sail. This impressive yacht can easily be sailed single-handed or with just two people aboard.
From 2011 to 2013 the sailing yacht underwent an extensive $3 million, two-year refit at Westerly Marine. During this refit both AANDEEL’s interior and exterior were completely refitted, to bring her to the impeccable eye-catching styling she has today. Notably, all her sail equipment such as her rig, standing rigging and carbon boom were updated during the refit. The luxury sailing yacht’s interior is stunning showcasing a cool, contemporary interior styling with color-changing lights and ample natural light.
AANDEEL’s main salon offers ample seating making it ideal for entertaining or relaxing while coastal day sailing or offshore. AANDEEL showcases three beautifully appointed staterooms, accommodating up to six guests. She features a lovely master suite with a double bed, a starboard double-bed stateroom and a port stateroom with a sofa that converts into two single bunks. The master has its own bath while the other two staterooms share a bath. However, the starboard stateroom has its own private access.
AANDEEAL’s cockpit is impressive, spacious and comfortable it can comfortably seat 16 — making it ideal for inviting friends aboard for a day of fun on the water.
Starting aft you have a transom door that drops down for tender storage and gear locker. This door is also used as a swim platform and boarding step.Â
Twin helm stations have complete sailing controls and steering stations. Moving forward you have a very large port and starboard seating area with twin dining tables. This large, comfortable and secure cockpit easily seats 16 guests. You enter below decks from the cockpit.
The salon is light, modern and airy. You have ample seating to port and starboard with a dining table and lower cocktail table. The full gourmet galley is forward and to port.Â
The guest stateroom is to starboard with direct and private access to the starboard head and shower. Further forward you come to the port stateroom with sofa that converts into two single bunks.Â
Lastly you come to the master stateroom with private head and shower.
The salon is very light and airy with large windows port and starboard and four overhead hatches with retractable shades and screens. Heating and air conditioning throughout the salon.Â
To starboard, there is a large sofa style seating, ottoman, navigation table and chair, flat screen TV, entertainment center, VHF, instrumentation, electrical panel and drawers.Â
To port, there is a teak dining table for six to eight persons with sofa style seating.

The ballast system controls seawater flows from the ocean to and from the port and starboard ballast tanks, and between the port and starboard tanks. Each tank holds 10,550 pounds of sea water. A goal of the system is to provide simplified operator selection of the eight possible flow options: flow to and from the ocean from either ballast tank (4 possibilities) and flow between either tank either by gravity or by pumping (4 possibilities). Operating controls are located at each helm and on the ballast control box in the engine room.
Three pumps and eight valves are used. Both the main and donkey engines have power – take-off pumps. A third pump powered by the yacht’s primary hydraulic system is also provided.
The ballast control box receives commands from the operator selection switches and translates the commands into appropriate valve and pump actuations. Individual toggle switches are also provided on the cover of the ballast control box in the engine room to allow independent manual operation of any valve or pump.Â
Note that the helm commands to transfer water between ballast tanks via gravity do not require use of a pump. Such transfer is achieved simply by directly opening the two (fore and aft) gravity transfer valves via their two Valve Relays. It is, of course, the heel of the yacht that determines flow direction.Â

AANDEEL (ex-SLEIGHRIDE) is an outstanding high-performance custom carbon fiber sloop is very suitable for luxury cruising or competitive racing.
She was originally built by Goetz-Derecktor in carbon fiber, designed by Sparkman & Stephens as a fast-powerful day-sailor. The current owner purchased her and had her shipped to Westerly Marine where she underwent a two-year complete $3 million dollar major refit and re-launched in 2013.
She features three staterooms, two heads, a large salon and fully-equipped galley. Her large cockpit accommodates 16 guests comfortably. At the twin helm station, all sail controls can easily be handled.
Her transom garage can easily handle a RIB, kayaks or paddleboards. When the transom door is open it functions as a beach with a swim ladder.
She is a joy to sail and she is easily managed by a crew of two. Most sailing activities can be achieved singlehanded. All sail handling is achieved via powered hydraulic sailing systems and winches. The fully battened mainsail furls into a carbon fiber boom, new in 2013. The headsail is self-tacking with power furling. When sailing in above 15 true knots there is an outstanding water balance system that smooths the boats motion and adds comfort to your guest and maximizes her upwind performance.
This extraordinary yacht is in excellent condition and needs to be inspected to fully appreciated her high-tech sailing technology and her ease of sailing shorthanded.
