Sleek and elegant, the 197'1" (60.3m) SAMURAI is an inspired choice of superyacht for a luxury charter of the Mediterranean and Caribbean. She was launched in 2016 by the Turkish shipyard Alia Yacht, and the yard collaborated with Omega Architects for her exterior design and with British designer RWD for her interior. The result is an impressive motor yacht that was a finalist for The ShowBoats Design Awards 2017 (for the category of Best Naval Architecture—Displacement Motor Yacht).
SAMURAI has a Jacuzzi, beach club and outdoor bar for ultimate relaxation in the sun. Also, a high-tech gym, and a selection of water toys for fun on the ocean. This includes Jet Skis, kayaks, SeaBobs, and paddleboards. Alternatively, guests can explore beneath the waterline with the snorkeling equipment, or mess around with the inflatable water toys. At the end of each captivating day, the guests retire to six elegant staterooms. These comprise a master, a VIP, three double cabins, and one convertible twin/double. The décor is tasteful and elegant, with neutral tones combining with dark woods to stylish effect.
The yacht is powered by twin MTU engines, which give her a cruising speed of 15 knots and a fast top speed of 21 knots. This means she can cover plenty of ocean as she delivers guests from one compelling destination to the next. Hotspot regions in the Mediterranean include Italy’s Amalfi Coast, the French Riviera, and the islands of Corsica and Sardinia. In the Caribbean, popular charter spots include Antigua, St Maarten, St Barth, and the Bahamas. The expert crew of 15 create compelling itineraries and make all the necessary reservations ashore for Michelin-starred restaurants, world-class spas, beach clubs, and entertainment.
