An award-winning yacht that more than lives up to her name, the 138’9” (42.3m) FABULOUS CHARACTER is the perfect base for swanky summers in the Mediterranean and tropical Caribbean winters. Winner of the prestigious World Superyacht Award and the ShowBoats Design Award in 2011 for her exceptional full-custom design, FABULOUS CHARACTER was delivered in 2010 by the celebrated Dutch shipyard Holland Jachtbouw to a design penned by Langan Design Associates. Comprehensively refit in 2022, everything about FABULOUS CHARACTER remains as her name would suggest—fabulous.
As classic and timeless as her sharp navy hull and crisp white superstructure, the interior of FABULOUS CHARACTER is beautifully traditional but with a contemporary sensibility. Designer Rhoades Young made use of weathered limed oak wood on the lower and main deck, changing to a more relaxed and nautical teak wood throughout the upper bridge deck incorporating French Provencal finishes with elegant curves and flowing lines for a classic ambience. The main salon is an elegant and comfortable room with limed oak paneling and a subtle Asian decor motif. The perfectly symmetrical main salon features seating with plush white sofas on either side and four easy chairs, while teak French-style double doors open to the aft deck. Large windows make the salon a bright and airy space for socializing. The lounge flows through to the formal dining room further forward with its stunning high polish timber table seating 10 for elegant occasions. The upper deck skylounge is a bright, light-filled space with the same traditional feel. The teak flooring creates a seamless flow between the outside deck and the interior, helped further by enormous bi-fold doors that can be left fully open for indoor/outdoor living. The cozy white sofas are flanged by comfy armchairs ideal for taking in a movie on the widescreen TV or as a fantastic break-out spot after an alfresco dinner on the upper deck.
At the end of an exciting day on the water, FABULOUS CHARACTER accommodates her 10 guests in five spacious and luxurious staterooms. Her main-deck master suite is nothing short of spectacular with a large private office, a beautiful lounge area, king size bed and generous his-and-hers en-suite bathroom. Panoramic windows ensure an abundance of natural light and incredible views without stepping foot from the bed. The same softly hued décor and joinery can be found in FABULOUS CHARACTER’s remaining four lower deck staterooms that include two very large doubles and two twin cabins, all with large en-suite bathrooms.
Decks on FABULOUS CHARACTER are made for alfresco entertaining, relaxing and making the most of the sunshine and stunning scenery that are hallmarks of her cruising grounds. Morning coffee or afternoon cocktails can be served on the spacious main deck aft which provides a comfortable lounge poised to take in the action in the marina or the palm-fringed shores of a remote island. When it comes to entertaining, the spacious upper deck has it all—from its beautiful dining table to its alfresco lounge for coffee and petit fours under the stars. With doors open to the skylounge, there’s no better spot for an exceptional onboard soiree. During the day, guests are likely to while away the hours on the expansive sundeck, sipping cocktails at the bar, enjoying tasty treats from the barbecue, soaking in the Jacuzzi or bronzing on the sun pads and loungers.
FABULOUS CHARACTER’s ample beach club and swimming platform provides more than just easy access to her tenders and assortment of water toys. There is also a fully equipped gym to ensure fitness-minded guests never miss a workout. For those who prefer to take in some action on the water, she offers guests the latest selection of exciting water toys to enjoy. FABULOUS CHARACTER’s nine-strong crew is intent on making each and every moment count by providing impeccable service and personalized touches that make a charter vacation exceptional in every way.
