Few charter experiences reward exploration quite like Alaska aboard SERENGETI. Widely recognized as one of the most successful and established charter programs in this cruising ground and described as historically being the most dominant program in Alaska, this 130' (39.62m) Westport offers far more than a luxury yacht vacation. SERENGETI delivers an immersive wilderness adventure shaped by decades of expertise.
Every day aboard SERENGETI is designed around discovery. Guests can spend their mornings searching for whales, cruising past glaciers and exploring remote anchorages, then venture ashore for wilderness hikes or wildlife encounters. The yacht’s program is centered on scenic wildlife experiences, fishing and diving, creating an itinerary that is described as “the most exceptional itinerary in the market for adventure-seekers.”
A key part of the experience is the yacht’s crew. The team is experienced in providing excursions, fishing experiences, wildlife spotting, star gazing, yoga classes, fitness, hiking, scenic barbecues and everything that has to do with expeditions, while the Captain and deck team are all fishermen and avid hikers. Guests benefit from a crew whose passion for Alaska extends far beyond operating the yacht; they actively guide and enrich each adventure. The onboard program includes whale watching, brown bear viewing, glacier exploration, kayaking and paddle adventures, scenic wilderness hiking, sport fishing, remote anchorages and wildlife encounters, ensuring every charter is tailored to the region’s extraordinary natural wonders.
Fishing enthusiasts will find SERENGETI in a class of her own. The yacht and tender are completely rigged for fishing, and the program includes a commercial halibut license as well as opportunities for fly fishing for salmon. Guests have access to a full complement of fishing gear for casting, trawling, fly fishing and bottom fishing, while the 34' 2025 Allied Liberator fishing and diving tender, which is fully equipped for sportfishing and shore excursions, opens the door to remote waters and hard-to-reach locations throughout Alaska.
When not exploring ashore, guests can continue taking in Alaska’s dramatic scenery from the yacht herself. In fact, guests spend much of their time sightseeing from all the exterior decks, taking advantage of temperature-controlled outdoor decks and the option of a complete eisenglass enclosure for the entire main deck aft and flybridge for added comfort in changing conditions. Whether enjoying an alfresco meal, watching wildlife from the railing or simply winding down in the main salon, the connection to the destination remains constant.
SERENGETI’s interior is characterized by a classic gentleman’s style, where the warmth from the high-gloss finishes makes guests feel cozy, while large windows throughout the main salon and skylounge frame the surrounding landscape. Accommodating up to 12 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam main-deck master stateroom, she provides a comfortable base from which to experience one of the world’s most remarkable cruising grounds. Additional accommodations include two king guest staterooms and two twin staterooms.
The adventure doesn’t end when the sun goes down. Guests can enjoy star gazing with the telescope, which is also used for chasing the northern lights. From warm springs and brown bear viewing to glacier exploration, diving and world-class fishing, SERENGETI remains one of Alaska’s most iconic charter experiences. She offers an opportunity to experience the Last Frontier through a program built around exploration, adventure and unforgettable encounters with nature.
