If you’re looking for a charter yacht suitable for film royalty, then look no further than the iconic 288.2' (86m) MAN OF STEEL. Previously owned by Steven Spielberg and called SEVEN SEAS, MAN OF STEEL was built by noted Dutch shipyard Oceanco in 2010 to the exact specifications of the Oscar-winning film director with no expense spared. It is not surprising then that this illustrious yacht is replete with luxurious amenities and special touches sure to impress even the most discerning A-lister. Sold and renamed in 2021, MAN OF STEEL is immaculate today as the day she was delivered, her sleek exterior design was penned by Nuvolari & Lenard, while the naval architecture comes courtesy of Azure Naval Architecture.
MAN OF STEEL’s gorgeous interiors are a study in elegant contemporary design. Created in collaboration between Nuvolari & Lenard and Molly Isaksen, the interiors feature walnut, teak and rosewood furnishing and finishes interspersed with natural materials, fabrics and colors. The main deck salon is a stunning space for relaxing and entertaining, while the upper deck is the place for formal dining at the impressive circular dining table—surrounded by windows and positioned for the views. There is also a sit-up bar for sipping cocktails while watching the passing vistas. After dinner, guests can dance the night away on the dedicated dancefloor or head to the state-of-the-art professional cinema with two tiers of seating for the ultimate onboard movie experience. A fully equipped gym is sure to keep the fitness fanatics happy, while the spa, with its sauna, hammam and treatment room, is ideal for rejuvenating tired limbs. An elevator ensures seamless access to the yacht’s four levels.
At the end of a long day, MAN OF STEEL’s 12 guests can choose from seven restful retreats. The real scene-stealer has to be the owner’s suite, which features a full-beam stateroom with 180-degree views, en-suite and dressing room, along with an office and a terrace with its own private jacuzzi and space for lounging and sunbathing. There’s a full beam VIP stateroom and an additional three double cabins and one triple on the main deck all with dedicated en-suite facilities and luxurious amenities. A further ‘sea cabin’ can be found on the lower deck also with dedicated en-suite facilities that’s big enough for three people.
Decks on MAN OF STEEL are expansive, offering endless options for dining, relaxing and soaking in the rays. During the day, guests are bound to gravitate to the vast aft deck with its stunning infinity edge pool and uninterrupted sea views. This 820-square-foot space can be used for everything from relaxed al fresco dining to the most formal black-tie events. The pool can be covered for dancing under the stars or be left open and lit from below to create a fabulous ambiance. There is also a special projector that can screen a movie on the glass wall of the pool so guests can watch a film while in the water.
For an ideal retreat away from the action, there is a second pool surrounded by sunpads on the upper deck. Overlooking the bow, this is the perfect place to take in the views or enjoy a quiet cocktail. This pool can also be covered to create a helipad for guests to arrive in style.
With a full armada of toys ensures there is always plenty of excitement to be had on the water. MAN OF STEEL carries four SeaDoo WaveRunner, four SeaBobs, foil boards, JetSurf, and full scuba diving equipment. Her four tenders include a custom 34.5' Hodgdon Limo with space for 12, luxurious leather seating and a roof that can be opened for fresh air and sunshine.
A crew of 28 ensures seamless service and attention to detail befitting such a special yacht. Spending her summers in the Mediterranean and tropical winters in the Caribbean, MAN OF STEEL makes the perfect base for an incredible charter vacation.
