SERENITY is a 138' 97" (42.33m) semi-displacement motor yacht delivered in 2015 by Mondomarine. An owner-driven project from the outset, she was designed with a clear focus on volume, privacy and long-range capability. Her innovative layout and naval architecture were recognised in 2016 when she won the prestigious World Superyacht Award for Semi-Displacement and Three-Deck Motor Yachts over 41m, and was named a finalist at the ShowBoats Design Awards in the Semi-Displacement Naval Architecture category.

Her layout is where SERENITY really separates herself from the pack. The entire upper deck is dedicated to the owner, creating a private apartment rather than just a cabin. The split-level master suite sits forward with true 180-degree views through large windows, giving the space an openness you normally only see on much larger yachts. High-gloss rosewood, Calacatta marble framed in Portoro stone and custom furniture create a balance between contemporary and warm, without tipping into anything overly decorative. A few steps down, the bathroom and dressing area are also very generous, centred around a freestanding bathtub with mosaic detailing.

What makes this suite particularly strong is how it connects outdoors. Fold-down balconies just outside on both sides and direct access to a private forward sunpad turn the master into a genuine indoor-outdoor space.

Aft on the owner’s deck is a private lounge that doubles as a cinema room. This is a properly thought-out space, with sound-insulating materials, soft leather-lined panels and a relaxed seating layout. It opens onto a large terrace with dining for up to ten and a dedicated bar.

The main salon on SERENITY is a light-filled space designed with practicality in mind. Two full-size sofas face each other in the lounge area, creating a comfortable setting for everyday use and entertaining. Full-height windows on both sides bring in excellent natural light, and when the fold-down balconies are open, the salon takes on a terrace-like feel with a strong connection to the sea.

Forward, the dining area is subtly separated by a low central partition with an integrated fireplace, maintaining flow without closing the space off. A glass-topped dining table seats eight and sits in front of a mirrored forward bulkhead, which enhances volume and light. Finishes are contemporary and restrained, combining high-gloss wood, lighter lacquered panels and pale stone flooring, with well-balanced lighting that works equally well during the day and in the evening.

Guest accommodation is located on the lower deck, with four well-proportioned suites. Each cabin has its own colour identity, matched with onyx basin tops in the ensuites.

Decorative elements such as vertical garden features in the VIP and double cabins add character without feeling forced. The layout works well for both family use and charter, offering privacy and consistency across all guest spaces.

Externally, SERENITY was designed to maximise usable deck area. The sundeck features an infinity-style pool, generous sunpads and shaded lounging. The main aft deck offers relaxed seating close to the water, while the large swim platform provides easy access for swimming and watersports.

Powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M94 engines, SERENITY reaches 16.5 knots and offers a 4,500-nautical-mile range at 12 knots. Lightweight aluminium construction, low engine hours and an exceptionally well-laid-out engine room underline her efficiency and technical credibility. Award-winning, thoughtfully designed and still very relevant today, SERENITY is a serious option for an owner looking for something genuinely different in the 40–45m segment.
