CLOUDBREAK may have the spirit and look of a rugged explorer, but she’s also a luxurious and sophisticated yacht ready to deliver the charter vacation of a lifetime. Built by powerhouse German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, the 274' (75.3m) CLOUDBREAK owes her unique exterior lines to Norwegian-born designer Espen Øino and her passionate owner—an avid skier and surfer. In fact, CLOUDBREAK takes her name from a wave in Fiji that daring surfers rank among their favorites. And it’s very apt. CLOUDBREAK feels as young, fit, and adventurous as possible, from the incredibly fast tenders she carries to her overflowing toy box. Cruising the world-class dive sites of Southeast Asia and off-the-grid islands of the South Pacific and beyond, CLOUDBREAK is the perfect choice for nature lovers who wish to explore the world without sacrificing incredible onboard comforts.
Refined interiors
Much of CLOUDBREAK’s refinement stems from her minimalist interiors by French designer and architect Christian Liaigre and his profound understanding of the ocean environment. A liquidambar veneer adds contrast to lighter woods, such as Hornbeam on the floors, brushed or scored pine and oak added for texture, and lacquered surfaces. The aim was to emulate the warm and welcoming atmosphere of a chalet but with a modern sensibility. The effect is timeless and beautiful. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the main deck salon with its stunning fireplace, cozy deep-seated sofa and expanse of timber flooring. There is also a uniquely shaped dining table positioned for the views beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows. Another eye-catching space on CLOUDBREAK is the winter garden on the upper deck. The large space, furnished with low seating and tables, can be fully enclosed with glass and heated or opened completely to become an exterior space.
Wellness center
An incredible 197' corridor on the lower deck leads to CLOUDBREAK’s amazing wellness center with a dedicated treatment room to ease away the strains of an action-filled day. The range of beauty treatments includes massage, acupuncture, yoga and Pilates, all provided by the yacht’s qualified crew, who double as personal trainers and therapists. There’s a large gym with an open balcony, a ballet barre, kinesis, body bikes, a treadmill, free weights, medicine balls, kettlebells and punch bags, as well as a sauna with a chilled plunge pool.
Guests can re-live the high-octane adventures of the day in the world-class cinema, including high-quality footage filmed on CLOUDBREAK’s GoPro, drones and professional camera equipment.
Outdoor living
Decks on CLOUDBREAK are all about making the most of her astonishing cruising grounds. There’s plenty of space for sunbathing around the large pool on the sundeck or enjoying an al fresco breakfast or dinner under the stars. After dark, the commercial helipad transforms into a dance floor complete with lights and connection to CLOUDBREAK’s state-of-the-art music systems. Above the sundeck is the “eagle’s nest” observation tower that delivers uninterrupted, sweeping views of your chosen anchorage. The upper and main decks offer shaded al fresco dining and lounging spots to escape the midday sun or enjoy a peaceful escape.
Sumptuous staterooms
CLOUDBREAK welcomes her 12 in six sumptuous staterooms. On the main deck, the stunning master suite has a fresh modern look and a full range of luxurious amenities. Two large terraces—one open, the other closed to the elements—offer panoramic views and there’s even an outdoor daybed allowing guests to sleep under the stars—something her owner insisted on. There are five further guest cabins on the lower deck which give direct access to CLOUDBREAK’s magnificent beach club. Decorated with a chic neutral colour palette, the guest staterooms feature a curved design maximizing their generous size and natural light from the enormous windows.
Adventure
True to her owner’s wishes, you can expect to find a toy box brimming with opportunities to enjoy being on the water. Her two tenders bring a host of towable toys alive. For speed, jet skis, flyboards, kite surfing boards, wakeboards and wakeskates deliver. Scuba diving kit and snorkeling gear unlock the underwater wonders, and there are even eight bikes for shoreside excursions while the helipad opens up opportunities for deeper exploration ashore.
Like CLOUDBREAK herself, the yacht’s incredible crew of 22 knows no limits when it comes to delivering an unforgettable charter experience.
