KAJAK is a 153' (46.6m) custom yacht built by North American Shipbuilding and delivered in 2002, with extensive refit work carried out from 2023 through 2026. Her naval architecture is by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec, while Luiz de Basto was responsible for both the interior and exterior design. Built to ABS classification and MCA compliance, KAJAK has a semi-displacement hull and is powered by twin Caterpillar 3512B engines producing 2,250hp each. She cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots and has an approximate range of 5,000 nautical miles at 13 knots.
KAJAK accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms, with an arrangement that gives the owners an entire private upper deck. The aft-facing master suite features a king-size bed, two walk-in closets, two en-suite bathrooms and nine large vertical windows providing 270-degree views. Not only does the master open to a private aft deck with seating, but it is also joined by a private library and family room. The remaining accommodations are on the lower deck and include two VIP staterooms with queen-size beds and two twin staterooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The starboard guest stateroom also has direct access to the elevator.
The interior features Ralph Lauren Home styling, African Makore mahogany and Tuscan marble. On the main deck, a large private dining room is complemented by a spacious galley and pantry with enough room for guests to be part of the cooking experience. Outside, the aft deck has a large dining table, while the partially enclosed sundeck provides two distinct areas. Its forward enclosed observation space has large windows and 270-degree views, while aft there is a large Jacuzzi and generous space for sunbathing.
KAJAK is fully wheelchair accessible, with a custom dock-side lift connecting to an elevator that serves every deck. She is also equipped with Quantum Zero-Speed stabilizers. Crew accommodations are provided for 10 crew in five cabins, including en-suite captain’s and chef’s cabins on the main deck and three additional crew cabins below. Dedicated crew access and a private companionway serving all decks keep operational circulation separate from guest areas.
Several members of KAJAK’s original build team have remained involved with the yacht and contributed to her recent major refit, maintaining continuity between her original construction and the extensive work completed between 2023 and 2026.
