The 2013 Su Marine DARWIN was designed as a semi-displacement economical commuter. Her seaworthy capabilities make her ideal for Mediterranean cruising, and her shallow draft allows her to cruise in the shallow Caribbean waters. DARWIN’s cold-molded wooden hull is reinforced with fiber cloth with epoxy resin making her extremely durable and requiring little maintenance. DARWIN’s 65hp Hydraulic bow thruster is more powerful than other yachts in her category, and her underway and at-anchor stabilization system ensure guest comfort. Her robust exterior structure is one of a kind and pays respect to her Turkish build and artistry. DARWIN was awarded by the Dutch noise and vibration expert as the quietest yacht on the market in her range. She received mechanical updates in 2022 and completed her 10-year RINA survey in 2021, a year earlier than expected.Â
DARWIN’s four staterooms are light, bright and charming. The owner’s suite is midship and features a king-size bed with a walk-in closet, a vanity table and portlights that can be opened when desired. The yacht’s additional three cabins comprise one VIP with a double bed, one double bed cabin and a fourth cabin with twin beds, one of which includes guard rails making this cabin perfect for families with babies or small children. Each stateroom features luxurious solid teak flooring and teak veneered wall cladding and furniture. En-suite bathrooms accompany each cabin for optimal privacy. Three crewmembers are welcome onboard DARWIN.Â
The main salon of DARWIN is elegant and cozy, illuminated with light by big windows and a stunning skylight positioned in the middle of the white lacquered loft-style ceiling. This unique detail takes full advantage of the daylight, and a black-out curtain is available when shade is desired. The interior dining table and sofa feature pops of color that work wonderfully against the otherwise traditional color palette. The many bookshelves contribute to the pleasing aesthetic of the salon. DARWIN’s galley includes a multipurpose bar/island that invites guests to enjoy a morning coffee or late-night cocktail.Â
The projection TV in the cockpit allows this space to serve as a cinema area at night, perfect for an evening of alfresco entertainment. DARWIN’s spacious aft deck had a huge U-shaped sofa with additional chairs to accommodate up to ten guests to enjoy comfortable outdoor dining. The aft deck offers seamless entry to the main salon through the sliding doors and gives access to the wide walkways to port and starboard and stairs up to the flybridge. DARWIN’s impressive flybridge houses a 15’ (4.70m) tender and offers plenty of comfortable seating shaded by the stainless steel shading system and multiple control stations for ease of maneuvering.Â
DARWIN’s foredeck showcases a high-gloss varnished teak coffee table and seating for a more intimate viewing area of the destinations ahead. The yacht’s swim platform is a perfect gateway to the water and acts as a diving station when needed.Â
