Introducing ARMIDE, a timeless 68’ (21m) sailing yacht. This Bermudian schooner, built in 1938, was extensively rebuilt between 2016 and 2018. She was meticulously restored by Classic Works in La Ciotat, just a stone’s throw away from its birthplace in Marseille. She is now a part of the south of France’s maritime patrimony.
Launched initially from Grassi Shipyard, ARMIDE has seen four devoted owners, each contributing to her legacy. The current owner acquired her in a dilapidated state and embarked on a comprehensive rebuild, transforming her into a seaworthy classic, surpassing her original construction.
This extraordinary vessel was not initially built as a race boat. Still, thanks to the substantial investment made during the rebuild, which included new sails and rigging, ARMIDE would be a formidable contender on the regatta circuit. Her hull features iroko planking on oak frames, her superstructure has mahogany planking on oak frames and her decks feature teak on oak frames. This schooner exhibits exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The exterior of ARMIDE radiates timeless elegance with her classic design and flush decks. Adorned with beautiful bronze deck fittings, winches, varnished wooden blocks, and tackle, the yacht exudes a sense of sophistication. The spruce masts and booms have been meticulously reconditioned, and adding a new bow sprit further enhances its performance and aesthetic appeal. With a complete set of 184m2 sails crafted by Incidence Sails, ARMIDE is prepared to harness the power of the wind with grace and style.
Inside, the doghouse offers convenient access to the engine room. Multiple entrances to this space ensure ease of maintenance. The interior features a spacious main salon boasting full-beam amidships. A delightful dining area awaits to port, while a large comfortable sofa and lounge area can be found to starboard. A well-equipped galley complements the space.
Accommodations aboard ARMIDE cater to both owners and guests. The owner's cabin, located forward of the main salon, features a double bed, adjoining shower room, and head. The guests are accommodated in a twin cabin at the bow, which benefits from abundant natural light. Additionally, the crew is well provided for, with a twin cabin aft equipped with repeated navigational instruments and offering easy access to the engine room and lazarette locker.
ARMIDE stands as a testament to timeless elegance and superior craftsmanship, combining classic design with modern amenities. This distinguished vessel presents a rare chance to own a piece of maritime history while enjoying the pleasures of luxurious yachting. Embark on a journey of timeless beauty and unparalleled sophistication with ARMIDE.

After the passerelle, on deck, you first have the doghouse which is the main cockpit opposite the steering wheel, where you can find the new Garmin navigation equipment. Then the skylights and the mahogany cabinetry.
You can see all the new standing rigging which is stainless steel, the two original masts with all new sails, and then all the running rigging that was all replaced. There is nice space where to put a proper dining table when at the anchor or in an harbour somewhere.
Back in the doghouse, you can find comfortable stairs down. Beneath the stairs when you go down below you can access the engine room. There are three different accesses to the engine room which is really great and makes maintenance much easier.
One other of these is in the aft twin cabin where the crew sleeps and where you can find repeaters of all navigation equipments.
Moving forward you find the chart table, dining table on port side, sofa on starboard side and beautiful galley behind you.
Moving forward you access the very comfortable double guest cabin located amidship, then the shower room and finally, another twin cabin.
