SHENANDOAH OF SARK was born in one of the 20th Century’s most glamorous eras. The luxury yacht has welcomed onboard the world’s most powerful families, international royalty, and her fair share of smugglers and gamblers. She has raced across oceans and circumnavigated the globe many times. She has, in a word, lived. And she has been loved!
Renowned for her elegance and her supreme handling on the water, this three-mast gaff topsail schooner was and is one of the finest charter sailing yachts.
Today, SHENANDOAH OF SARK embodies the charm of the Golden Age of Yachting while providing guests with modern luxury amenities. Her showpiece interior is classic and timeless with white bookshelves filled with well-read books, beautiful wood colored doors and beds, brass handles and fittings, and carved glass on the light buoys. A classic grand piano enriches the ambiance in the main salon. State-of-the-art loudspeakers, a TV, and communications systems ensure charter guests enjoy present-day amenities.
The living quarters are now precisely how SHENANDOAH’s original owner wanted them to be when class, taste and the fineries of life ruled the waves — when unparalleled luxury meant something. The deck now offers three points of access to the interior and the accommodations now are probably more luxurious than they ever were.
The classic sailing yacht SHENANDOAH OF SARK can accommodate up to 11 guests, eight adults and three children, aboard in four beautifully appointed staterooms. The stunning, full-beam master stateroom showcases a double-bed and a single bed, three large wardrobes, and a large en-suite bath with his-and-her sinks. The stateroom has a skylight that fills the rooms with natural light. Enhancing the charm of this stateroom, there is a secret door hidden behind the bookshelf that leads to the navigation station. The sailing yacht’s additional staterooms include three double-bed staterooms, with one of the staterooms having a detachable single bunk. Each of these staterooms has a private en-suite bath and music system.
For meals, guests have the option of dining at the formal interior dining table or alfresco in the cockpit. Either is an exceptional choice as the chef will tantalize your taste buds with bespoke meals tailored to your preference.
This gorgeous classic luxury charter yacht offers remarkable outdoor living areas: expansive sunbathing areas for soaking in the sunshine, the charming shaded cockpit ideal for all kinds of alfresco meals and sundowners and for unwinding. Guests on board SHENANDOAH OF SARK are welcome to take part in sailing maneuvers under the crew’s supervision. Who hasn’t dreamed of standing at a helm jut like SHENANDOAH’s and sail the seven seas?
