Robust, elegant and utterly unstoppable, the 78’ (24m) ICE is a proven explorer yacht designed to traverse the northern passage. She will be launched in 2022 to a design by Soyaslan Yachts. ICE is capable of carrying 10 guests across five cabins in total comfort and safety.
True to her name, ICE has an eight-mm-thick ice-capable hull. With her waterline length under 24 meters, she’s capable of certifying for CE Category A — designed specifically according to the Bureau Veritas marine classification rules — designating her as a yacht capable of large sea voyages anywhere. And with a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at 10.5 knots, ICE will turn the ocean into your playground.
Guests will be able to enjoy magnificent views from one of her three decks. Upon entering the aft deck from her swimming platform is a beautifully attired alfresco dining area with seating for up to eight. Above is the skylounge aft, an area close to 20 square meters and housing a 17’ (5.3m) tender hoisted by her boom crane — also capable of reaching out to the swimming platform should her new owner wish to house a few jet skis. Upon launching the tender, her four capable crew equip the space with chaise lounges, creating the perfect spot for relaxing under the shade.
In addition, a fully private flybridge with comfortable seating provides an oasis for guests to escape to, and her foredeck, with extra seating and coffee table, is the perfect breakfast nook from which to start the day aboard, overlooking breathtaking vistas and breathing in the fresh ocean air.
Inside, her main salon has plenty of natural light with seating; her two large sofas allow for entertaining and relaxing together. Forward, a dining area hosts up to 10 people, and above, the upper deck lounge offers a cozy seating area. Her stylish interiors feature bleached oak, dark veneers and warm carpet—a nice touch for long voyages in the icy seas for which she was designed.
Forward on the main deck is the owner’s cabin, located separately from the guest cabins. A queen-size bed is flanked by two nightstands, and an ensuite bathroom forward houses a his-and-hers sink and shower, with floor-to-ceiling storage and a sofa under pretty windows to starboard.
An additional eight guests can be accommodated across three double suites and one bunk cabin. These lower deck quarters are accessible from stairs leading down from the main salon. Each cabin has an ensuite bathroom and plenty of storage. The bunk cabin, located forward to port, would be well-suited for children and/or a nanny and also enjoys an ensuite bathroom.
ICEis a beautiful example of a modern ice-capable explorer yacht, able to entertain and cruise in total comfort and security. With thoughtful details throughout and plenty of deck space from which to take in the view, she would be a wonderful vehicle from which to discover all corners of the globe.
