The 82’ (25m) Nordia cutter-rigged, classic Ketch ALTAIR is a unique and spectacular blue-water cruiser featuring Dutch quality and classic lines. This robust sailing yacht is reliable and safe, providing comfortable sailing for all aboard. She is MCA-certified for cat 0 with a maximum of six people and cat 2 with a maximum of 12. She has been maintained to exemplary standards, ensuring her facilities and equipment are of the highest caliber.
When ALTAIR’s current (second) owners were in the market, they had a clear vision of what they wanted and sophisticated appearance, classic lines, a teak deck and robust blue water properties all topped the list. When they found ALTAIR, they knew. During their ownership, they carried out an extensive three-year refit from 2017 and 2020. This refit extended the yacht’s stern and replaced or rebuilt many technical and mechanical aspects of the yacht. Now in top form, ALTAIR is ready for her next owner, offering Med or ocean sailing with her stunning classic lines, a new set of sails, new tech systems and more.
The interior spaces of ALTAIR are welcoming and comfortable. Classic Dutch styling is found throughout and the use of refurbished white cabinetry further enhances the areas. The main salon is outfitted with a large U-shaped sofa that can accommodate up to eight. Custom built-ins and abundant storage are on offer here. The centrally located galley ensures excellent service.
Eight guests are accommodated in four cabins, including a welcoming master with an en-suite bathroom. All cabins are well-appointed and comfortable. The yacht has crew accommodations for two.
ALTAIR’s deck features a spacious cockpit with sheltered open-air dining at a large U-shaped teak table.
This eco-friendly yacht has a 900-watt solar panel in her Bimini top, a prop-shaft 100 A alternator offering charging while sailing and a 200-liter hot water boiler heated by the main engine or generator.
