The 125-foot (38.1m) AELLO brings together history, incredible craftsmanship, speed and unparalleled beauty. Constructed in 1921 by legendary German shipbuilder Max Oertz, AELLO originally belonged to the prominent Greek Egyptian merchant Antonis Benakis, who bestowed important museums and collections to Greece. During her century-long history, AELLO has sailed the seven seas, exploring far-flung destinations and winning prestigious regattas. AELLO was sold after World War II and subsequently abandoned in a mud-berth in England that fortunately preserved her hull for nearly four decades. In 1985, her fortunes changed as she was discovered by New Zealander Cameron Chisholm, who undertook a lengthy restoration that lasted more than four years, bringing her back to her former glory. This wonderful vessel is the perfect charter yacht for social gatherings as well as families looking for a unique charter experience.

Luxury and Style

This rare and luxurious sailing schooner was entirely refitted with Burma teak, an exceptionally rare and beautiful wood, which adds to her uniqueness. Even this wood has a history of its own, as it was salvaged from a vessel that sank in 1917 that was carrying a cargo of Burnese teak. Unique and full of charm, charter yacht ALLEO's main salon is classic and elegant with a formal dining area and comfortable seating area with 42-inch flat-screen TV. On deck, guests can enjoy an alfresco meal created by the onboard chef, plus there is plenty of deck space for sunbathing and relaxing while enjoying a cocktail from the bar. Luxury sailing yacht AELLO is equipped with snorkeling and fishing equipment for guests to enjoy while at anchor.

Classic Accommodation

Sailing charter yacht AELLO can accommodate six guests in three well-appointed cabins. The cabins include a full-beam master cabin and two double cabins, each with en-suite facilities. The yacht also carries a crew of five to ensure the perfect sailing charter experience for her guests.

Sail Power

With an impressive 553 square meters of sail area, AELLO has a speed of 12 knots under sail with 23 knots wind speed on the beam. She is also powered by a Cummins MerCruiser QSL 9-M/325 BHP Diesel engine. As one of the rarest and most iconic schooner vessels, charter yacht AELLO will provide the most memorable charter experience for her guests.
