A timeless classic with outstanding modern facilities, CHAKRA was originally a North Atlantic weather ship launched in 1963 by Scheeswerf Gebr. van der Werf in the Netherlands. While she retains her fantastic classic exteriors, she underwent an extensive reimagining in 1998 at British yard Davenport Yachts where she was converted into a luxury superyacht. Further refits in 2016 and 2017 have left her in pristine condition offering all of the modern amenities expected on an exceptional charter vessel while retaining the charm of her vintage pedigree. With room for up to 40 guests and numerous special features, CHAKRA is a unique and particularly attractive choice for extended families or special occasion charters.
CHAKRA’s bright contemporary interiors are the work of the Davenport team, who created spaces that are light, airy and stylishly modern. Soft, neutral grey and cream furnishings provide comfort while blending perfectly with the dark, polished woods of the surfaces to create a striking look that embodies modern luxury. Mirrored ceilings and the use of glass and brushed stainless steel throughout add a sense of space, contributing to the bright and open atmosphere of the yacht. Large windows ensure the main deck salon is flooded with natural light making it an ideal place to relax with a coffee or curl up to watch a movie on the widescreen TV. There’s also a piano bar perfect for after-dinner drinks and entertaining at the end of the day. The upper deck is the place for formal dining with a light-filled separate dining room and salon with impressive views.
CHAKRA accommodates her guests in 21 stunning staterooms, including the incredible full-beam master suite on the main deck with its private office, lounge area, and en-suite bathroom with a full-sized marble bath. The full-beam VIP stateroom is on the upper deck, offering an abundance of space and plenty of natural light. The remaining cabins are divided between the main, upper and lower decks, each one with dedicated en-suite facilities and designed with a sense of refined glamor and a calming neutral palette of cream, grey and soft beige.
Among CHAKRA’s many stand-out features are her extensive wellness facilities. In addition to the fully equipped gym on the top deck, guests can enjoy a day of pampering in the hairdressing salon or a relaxing massage and facial in the treatment room.
When it comes to exterior space on CHAKRA, not an inch has been overlooked. Each deck area has been maximized to prioritize relaxation and entertainment, with vast plush lounging areas to laze on all day, or to party the night away, cocktail in hand. There is enough space on the main aft deck for the whole group to enjoy al fresco lunches and dining under the stars, while the upper deck lounge could not be more perfect for social sundowners around the bar.
Sun lovers are bound to gravitate to the sundeck and its large Jacuzzi flanked by sun loungers and sunpads for uninterrupted bronzing. The upper foredeck provides a quiet retreat for those seeking a little peaceful reflection and solitude with incredible views and space for yoga.
But a charter on CHAKRA isn’t just about relaxation. With a full toy box and an incredible crew of 43, endless adventures await, whether it’s making the most of the towable toys or taking a spin on the SeaDoo Jet Skis. There is also scuba diving and snorkeling equipment to explore the underwater wonders, and kayaks and paddleboards for those who like to take things at a gentler pace—all launched from the extended swimming platform. Two tenders, including a 34.5' Limo Tender, are on hand to transport guests in style.
