NORTHROP & JOHNSON NAMED BEST ASIA-BASED CHARTER COMPANY SECOND YEAR RUNNING

For the second year in a row, Northrop & Johnson was named “Best Asia-based Charter Company” at the 2016 Asia Boating Awards held on April 7 at the Singapore Yacht Show.

The Asia Boating Awards was created in 2005 by China Boating and Asia-Pacific Boating magazines to recognize the best of the marine industry in Asia and around the world. Now in its 12th year, this award ceremony is viewed as a benchmark for the industry in the Asia-Pacific region. Held at the ONE°15 Marina Club, the 2016 event was brimming with VIPs, ultra-high net worth individuals and members of the yachting industry.

“We were pleasantly surprised to win this award for a second year in a row,” says Charter Broker Lies Sol. “We are happy to be recognized as the foremost charter brokerage for luxury charter in Asia and elsewhere.”

“Northrop & Johnson is the only international charter company with a ground presence throughout the Asia region; it now extends all the way to Australia,” adds Charter Broker Sytske Kimman. "Asia is ripe for charter. It offers an abundance of exotic cultures and adventure around nearly every turn, there is so much to see and do in this region and more owners are bringing their yachts over."

Northrop & Johnson charter brokers are available to help create a one-of-a-kind luxury charter holiday and, as Northrop & Johnson Asia Managing Director Bart Kimman says, “Clearly, a good thing got better! Northrop and Johnson’s charter team won the coveted award for the second time in a row! We have a great team and they need to be celebrated. Well done, Sytske, Lies, Khun Fon and Juliette!”
