Northrop & Johnson, the global leader in yachting and luxury lifestyle, is proud to be named a South Florida Top Workplace 2021 by the Sun Sentinel. This is the second workplace-related accolade Northrop & Johnson was awarded in 2021. Earlier this year, Northrop & Johnson was ranked first in the Medium-sized Company category in South Florida Business Journal’s 2021 Best Places to Work Awards.

The Top Places to Work award from the Sun Sentinel is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. This anonymous survey is unique as it measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization. These drivers include alignment, execution and connection, among others.

“It is a great honor to be named a South Florida Top Workplace 2021 by the Sun Sentinel, especially since the list of companies this year includes only 84 other brands,” said Northrop & Johnson President & COO Daniel Ziriakus. “At Northrop & Johnson, we take great pride in our company culture, and we take great care to create a family-like atmosphere where employees feel valued, respected and heard. The core values of Northrop & Johnson are incorporated into every aspect of what we do. These values drive us to continue to succeed together as a team. We always strive to foster a sense of community within our company culture. We like to go above and beyond for our clients, but also for our team members to let them know we care, and we like to have fun while getting the job done.”

The dedication to its employees and the inclusive-family-like atmosphere of Northrop & Johnson creates a veritable butterfly effect for Northrop & Johnson clients. There are proven statistics that show when team members are happy, they stay with companies longer, are more dedicated to their jobs, take a higher level of pride in their work and are more motivated and productive. This in turn ensures that clients receive the best possible service and care and helps to foster long-standing team member/client relationships, which are at the heart of Northrop & Johnson’s ethos.

Northrop & Johnson Director of Administration Vanessa Jiron, an almost-decade-long veteran of the company, said “Northrop & Johnson is Family! The culture here is truly like no other. We work as a team to get the job done and celebrate the successes of each department. It’s amazing to see how much the company has grown in the past nine-and-a-half years and I look forward to enjoying many, many more years as a NoJo!”

“If you love what you do you never have to work a day in your life. If you love who you work with, what more can you ask for,” said Director of Crew Services, Marcy Williams, who has been with the company for more than 10 years. “N&J is a family with amazing people at the top of their game. We genuinely care about each other and want to do the best that we can.  We support each other and want to succeed. I can’t imagine working anywhere else.”

Thirteen-year Northrop & Johnson veteran Senior Charter Broker Ann Landry has enjoyed watching the growth of the company. “It has been an amazing experience. When I joined in 2008, N&J had offices in Fort Lauderdale and Newport, RI – no IT department, no real marketing department, no Mediterranean office, not even a European bank account. Now we have offices in Antibes, Monaco, Palma, Barcelona, California, Thailand, Turkey, New York and Hong Kong. We have full-on IT and marketing departments enabling us to respond to clients with spectacular presentations in minutes – all this and more in 13 years. N&J has assembled a most remarkable team of industry professionals and I could not be happier. We have a great environment and great people. I love my job.”

“During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draws on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business.”
