Guests stepped on board and enjoyed Casillero del Diablo wines, Champagne Jacquart champagne and Topping Rose House rosé, as well as the signature “Art Basil,” event cocktail, consisting of gin muddled with strawberries and basil. Chef Jon Walter of USHER crafted incredible canapés and desserts, including homemade macaroons, for guests to enjoy as they perused the excellent selection of art curated by Keyes Art Consulting and Mark Borghi Fine Art. The collection included works from Andy Warhol, John Chamberlain and Gerhard Richter.
The stunning Miami skyline served as backdrop for the evening’s festivities at Sunset Harbour marina in South Beach — the heart of the Art Basel excitement. Local Fort Lauderdale band The Flying Chairs provided the perfect soundtrack of funky, fun tunes while guests mixed and mingled on board. Art On Board was an exceptionally successful pre-Basel art expedition and an exciting way to get into the spirit of the world-renown event.
