Palma Office Embarks on Significant Expansion Program

Northrop & Johnson’s Palma office is set to undertake significant growth over the next 12 months following a comprehensive restructuring and the hiring of additional brokers to service growing demand in the local market. Located in Palma de Mallorca in the picturesque Balearic Islands, the Palma office caters to clients throughout the Mediterranean, Europe and beyond. The office has an exceptional group of brokers, offering both brokerage and charter services. Whilst our Palma team already includes a selection of the top brokers on the island, we’re now recruiting additional experts to handle new business.

Yacht Broker Joost Govert’s has been an integral part of Northrop & Johnson Palma since its inception. From 2007 to 2020, he was the Co-Managing Director of Northrop & Johnson Spain and helped lead the office to where it is today. Joost has a deep-seated passion for sailing as well as assisting clients with finding their dream yachts. He is extremely knowledgeable, has a wealth of experience and believes in defending his client’s interests at all times.

Charter Broker Natascha Weber began her yachting career in 1996 when she was tasked with creating the charter department at Dahm International in Palma. She grew the fleet and gained a solid number of clients while at the firm before moving to Koch Newton & Partners Spain to be a charter broker and manager. Natascha joined Northrop & Johnson in 2014. With her knowledge and constant attendance at luxury yacht shows, Natascha prides herself on her ability to match clients with the perfect charter yacht to ensure they enjoy once-in-a-lifetime charter holidays.

Yacht Broker Jaap Havenga joined the yachting industry in 1993 as a yacht broker with De Valk Yachts. Jaap has worked for several yacht brokerage firms throughout his career, including Nautor’s Swan Brokerage. Jaap has a dedication to the industry and his clients. His knowledge and experience are assets to Northrop & Johnson’s Palma team.

Charter Broker Caroline Antlett began her yachting career in the early 2000s after graduating from Oxford University and attending Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Caroline then spent seven years working aboard sailing yachts before moving ashore in 2012. Before joining Northrop & Johnson in 2019, she worked in yacht management and business development for a superyacht law firm. Caroline enjoys working with clients to create charter holidays they will never forget.

Yacht Broker Sean Mccarter’s yachting career spans more than 15 years. He has skippered both sail and motor yachts, participated in many races and has circumnavigated the globe twice. In addition to his role as a Yacht Broker for Northrop & Johnson, Sean also is an active race skipper and project manager for several international race campaigns.

Office Manager Dani Weber began her career in the yachting industry in 1989. Over the years she has worked in different capacities of the industry. She spent time as crew and worked for maritime law and project management firms . Dani has a wealth of expertise, is detailed oriented and has a positive attitude. She is an asset to managing the Palma office.
