X - Michele Flandin

My Present 
Hello, my name is Michele Flandin. I joined N&J as a Charter Assistant to assist mainly the Retail Charter Brokers in the Monaco office and also the Charter Managers. I speak French, English and Dutch.

My Past
I started my career in the sales department of Monaco Marine and later De Valk. I then moved on to the sales and charter brokerage branch at Burgess Yachts. In 2005, with a wealth of experience in various facets of the yachting industry, I took on the role of Marketing Manager at industry-renowned yacht builder Oceanco and stayed in this role for 12 years, before moving on to the position of PR & Marketing Manager at Sorgiovanni Designs in Monaco. I have always been involved in all aspects of promotion, media relations, event management, and public relations, among other things within the yachting industry. 

My Future
I hope to use my knowledge of yachting for the benefit of N&J and also, through my many contacts in the industry, to contribute help expand the company's popularity in Europe.

Fast Facts 

• The first time I sailed was on a MiniCat (small inflatable sailing catamaran) when I was five years old and I cried when I had to leave it
• I was born in Holland, grew up in Italy, Australia, and Singapore, and came to France when I turned nine. A great experience as a child that still gives me the ability to adapt to any situation
• I am in love with the sunny state of Florida and took a piece of my dream back home by purchasing a muscle car 10 years ago
• My favorite ‘sport’ is gardening! It's so satisfying when everything is in bloom and the bushes are well-trimmed
