Kevin joined Northrop and Johnsonís Newport, Rhode Island office in 1987 and went on to become a partner in the firmís Marblehead, Massachusetts, office. In 1990, he took over the Fort Lauderdale, Florida office and is now its president and principal shareholder. Kevin is currently a Director for the Northrop and Johnson Holding Company, the organization that licenses all Northrop and Johnson and affiliate offices. He was instrumental in founding the International Yacht Council and served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA) 1994-2005. He has also served as Treasurer for both the Florida Yacht Brokers Association and the International Yacht Council. Kevin is a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB), a member of the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association (MYBA), a member of the Yacht Architects & Brokers Association (YBAA) and is a licensed broker in Florida and California.
Bruce has a long and successful history as a yacht broker that spans 28 years of creating long lasting relationships with pleased clients. As a broker with Fraser Yachts, then with short stint with Ted Hood's Little Harbor and for the last 14 years as an Principle of Northrop and Johnson.
With an extensive sailing and fishing background, Bruce easily bridges power and sailing worlds to provide the highest level of service, knowledge and integrity for our clients.
As President of Northrop and Johnson, following in Kevin Merrigan's footsteps, Bruce has worked tirelessly to expand and enhance the quality reputation of Northrop and Johnson and its continued growth and success to better serve our clients world-wide.
